Lets get this straight, I'm writing this because I believe that the player tribunal is broken and flawed.

I've gotten in touch with RIOT and they won't even respond to my most recent and OBVIOUSLY FLAWED player tribunal cards.

I'll give the backstory... a few days back, I received my first ever chat ban. My first ever....

I deserved it, I do not deny that... And although I'm usually positive and keep a straight attitude, carry most of my games, I tilted one game because I've had a string of AFK and feeders on my team, and it was another ranked game (I think) and my support bmed my jungler in all chat which caused him to blacklist botlane and refuse to gank.. He later went afk so I was a little mad that I've lost like 3 ranked games in a row and so I tilted.. I WAS WRONG I ADMIT THAT.

Shortly after that chatban ended, I was HONOR LEVEL 1, and DISHONORABLE. I find myself in a new game with a 3 man premade, the jungler (who intentionally rolled jungle) chose not to take smite and chose to duo toplane in a draft pick game.

I made the mistake of bringing up the fact that picking jungle and depriving the team of a jungler is tantamount to griefing and its not fair to me and the rest of the team. I didn't realize it was a 3 man premade until they all started jumping down my throat... Here is the chat logs.

Please do note that these are unedited and the other players' chat is not listed in this log so it is pretty one-sided, but even still I did not call anybody any names, and did not tilt on any of them, I didn't call anyone out for feeding, and the onlyreference to a player's score was "Shes 0-8" because someone said I was inting and that the jungler wasn't the problem, when I was like 4-9 and she was 0-8 and thats the only reference I made.

Now, I brought this to riot's attention

They have yet to respond about this chat log. But I've gotten numerous responses to another chat log.

Halfway through this 25 game chat ban, I got obviously paired with ANOTHER premade, mind you I'm chat banned and HONOR 0 now... So any reports against me count very heavily against my account...

Here is the story on this one...

I lock in yasuo adc, I rolled adc, I got adc.

My support "Mrs Momma" is her summoner name, says immediately "No, you're not adc, I'm adc now... yasuo cannot adc" and she locks in THRESH (WHICH ISN'T AN ADC I MIGHT ADD). I shrug it off, whatever.. When the game starts, she buys a long sword and starts stealing all of my cs...

and here is the chat log..

I said to myself in champ select "Don't tilt on these guys.. Don't get into any more trouble" Throughout the entire game I got bmed by orianna midlane and my support, so I said I'm gonna just mute them and report them for being toxic... Then the top laner (Nasus) began bming me for the other two, whom are now muted because I was trying my best to not tilt.

I didn't say anything or do anything wrong in this game, but because I was honor 0 and my support, mid and top were in a premade, their 3 reports triggered yet another player Tribunal and I got an instant 14 day ban...

I did everything in my power to not get upset and not take it out on them, I simply muted and reported them in the end, I let them know I was muting and reporting them because I didn't want them to keep on BMING me instead of playing the game, because like every game, I play to win.. As everyone else should.

I hope you all could read and understand that the player Tribunal is flawed, and hopefully a riot employee can take special note of my situation and perhaps assist me in getting caught in this sticky situation of misfortune and 1 mistake in being toxic on my first chatban ever..

I understand why I became honor 1... but being honor 1 has caused such frustration and unfairness in the last few days... I didn't deserve the second chat ban and I definitely didn't deserve the 14 day suspension..

Please someone forward this to a riot employee..

  • Don't tell people you're going to report them.
  • 9 reports = 1 report
  • "Player tribunal" does not exist anymore. It is automated.
  • False reports are filtered out.

After a 14-day ban, any negativity will get you a perma. Telling someone you're going to report them is negative and unnecessary. You were warned.

I'd also like to note, that I've taken the liberty to look through the summoner's code, and nowhere does it suggest that saying that I plan to report someone is against the rules..

Also, I'd like to note, that it DOES say in summoner code #3; and I quote:

Just state your side and exit the conversation gracefully rather than give them the opportunity to pick a fight.

which I did, I stated my side, that I don't want to stand for their toxic behavior, and I will mute and report them, and literally gracefully left the conversation..

I didn't violate ANY RULES in the last chat log, not a single one. I'm merely asking the people who wrote the rules, to adhere to the rules and judge me based on the rules, not personal opinions. Not insinuations, not speculation, but on the facts.

Thats all I'm asking

Not one sentence got you banned.

The whole of your two chat logs did. A lot of negativity and you TYPE TOO MUCH. Just mute and play. LESS TYPING, MORE PLAYING.

If you would have literally just shut up and muted, you would be fine. You don't need a specific rule. Your chats are negative and harassing. Threatening to report over and over again is enough for punishment. You did it two games and I have a feeling you have done it in many more games.

When you get back you will be on a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. Any thing Riot deems against the rules will get you PERMABANNED.

You want to avoid that? Stay out of the chat window except to type things you are doing FOR THE GAME but otherwise LESS TYPING, MORE PLAYING. Want to communicate? use pings.

Hello there Stuck In grey!

Yeah I recently had a chat ban after I told two of the enemy teammates they were MMR boosting. They verbally abused me all game and in a two minute period where I defended myself and claimed the pure fact of what was going on based off of match history. I was reported after the game by the enemy team and they bandwagoned against me. The "support" who was supposed to help believed that my years of positive behavior meant nothing and that the ban was justified because I defended myself.

League of Legends seems like It just wants every player to shut up regardless of the issue at hand, their support will offer you nothing to help and will see people verbally abusing you throughout the game and continue to make the judgement that a two minute period of 9-11 comments is enough for a chat ban. They don't care what you said, They don't care what you meant during your chat, and they don't care about the players. I have a recent forum post as well describing my issue which felt unjust such as yours.

Don't expect everyone to understand and expect negative comments to come through. My first comment on my post included someone simply re-writing my words without any context calling me bullshit without any justification. Know that some player's role is to hurt others even when you open up to the post. The rest of my comments seem very justifiable and I was able to have some good discussion regardless of the first asshole who commented.

I'd like to update everyone who was part of this thread..

A riot member got back to me and removed the suspension, as it was "incorrectly escalated". That being said, I was also warned to just stay silent and mute and report at the end of the game, and that advice I will definitely take.
