Are permamently banned people ever getting one more chance?

Hello there,

a couple of my friends have been permamently suspended due to toxicity, and they regret it. I've been wondering if riot will actually give them one more chance in the future so those who improved themselves could play once again on their lost accounts(Some of them lost a lot of money aswell) .

I know "permamently suspended" has got just one meaning, but I remember one day riot actually removed the "Ranked restrictions" or something, I don't really remember what was the reason behind it though.

Some of my friends started their new account and they haven't received any more restrictions, but a little of them got banned again.

I guess a lot of banned people actually regret their behaviour and would love to be given one more chance someday.

If you, dear riot, are planning anything - that'd be nice if you could give us any informations about it.

Have a good day buddies!

Riot had tried something like this in the past, but it didn't work out too well. Players who had their accounts permanently banned had a chance to get those accounts back if they could level a new account to 20 without being toxic. The success rate was very close to 0%, with the players not changing their behavior even with their accounts hanging in the balance, so Riot stopped doing this.

As has already been stated, with the current system, players are already given multiple chances to reform their behavior. They are also informed when they receive a 2 week ban that their next punishment will be a permanent ban. Now, for some people, the other chances may not be enough, and having their accounts actually be permanently banned is what it takes for them to realize they need to change their behavior. It's unfortunate that this is the case, however, sometimes that's just what needs to happen. If they do change their behavior, great, their welcome to continue playing on a new account, but there is currently no way for them to get their banned account back, and Riot currently has no plans on allowing them to try and earn it back.

They don't deserve it. They already had multiple chances and warnings.

They can create a new account, but they wont ever get the banned one back. They have either multiple chances with chat restrictions and even a 2 week ban or they were so extremly toxic/racist/homophoic, that they dont deserve another chance

You are already given tons of warnings prior to a perm ban. If it took you that long to realize the consequences I don't think you deserve more chances.

Of course you're going to regret your behavior AFTER being punished. Permanent bans are usually from people being really toxic, for example... death threats (even if they were just said in anger), intentional feeding, racism... you get the idea.

If people would just chillax and enjoy the game, without it being at the expense of someone else's experience, this forum section wouldn't even exsist.

Years ago they did allow a second chance to players who made an account and got to level 20 without incident, but then almost immediately after receiving their main accounts back 95% immediately reverted to their old ways and were punished again. The experiment was stopped, labeled as a failure, and was not seriously considered again.

Unfortunately now playing from level 1-29 is the most frustrating environment of the game filled with mostly bots, recently banned players raging for revenge, and noobs who are rightfully clueless.

It SHOULD be that your account is only banned for the 1 year, or that you chat is perma banned. Taking away someones account when they put 100s of hours and 100s of dollars into is theft.

They are given chances and they wasted their chances repeatedly, that's why they are not getting more. Every permanent ban has walked through at least 3 temporary bans irrc.

Heya. Recently banned player here (April 2016, recent enough imo). There's no real point in "earning" your account back. In retrospect I had more than enough chances to stop. Even on this account I ended up with a chat ban before I finally decided "Meh, let me just not anymore." It is very hard to shake a habit. Trash talk is inherit to my gaming experience. I come from console. We shit talk. A lot. Worse than anything in league, if you ask me. No one ever bragged about gangraping my mom and other such vulgarities. But if you aren't willing to stop being a dick to play this game, then you probably shouldn't be playing this game. People on here are competitive, they get frustrated, yes, but learning to deal with that frustration and funnel your gamer rage into something more constructive than flaming or feeding or what have you is important to growth in character and a gamer. I wouldn't ask for my account back; I take my punishments. I spent a lot on that account and it does suck, but hey, that's life sometimes. Attempting to give permabanned players second chances is redundant; we've already had a good five or so anyway.

Saying that it "isn't that hard to get chat restricted" is a load of crap. I've been playing this game for more than 6 years at this point and I've never even been warned about such things, let alone actually chat restricted.

If they got permanently banned they most likely deserve it. But they can always make another account, since riot doesn't IP ban people.

Hopefully not, no.

Eh, doing something as daring as giving permabanned players another chance requires someone at riot to have courage and try to change things for the better. The problem is no one wants to risk a comfy, pasta copy job. They just use the "Some people failed 5-6 years ago so lets scrap it" as an excuse not to try again. A lot of people have changed over the course of a long term ban, its worth a shot after a certain point. Sadly though, it will take a shift in management/philosophy for things to change for the better, I also don't think that "record number of permabanned players under new system" is something for a company to be proud about >>

I thought league was a game for everyone? Unless your a competitive person who doesn't tolerate every person on your team going 0/5 in about 8 minutes, then this game is not for you, because remember * there trying its ok* even tho ranked system is suppose to be a competitive system. this game is a joke people are so tired of it, cant wait to see the down hill climb about to begin, just like when all games do nothing about the trolls and collect there money the fan base always starts to diminish.
