I think the 14 day ban and the punishment system is incredibly stupid, when your entire team flames you and ints on purpose in your fricken promos and you say 1 thing to them and the trolls in the game report you and tell all chat to report you and you get the same punishment as the trolls is ridiculous, now all the people gonna say "you shouldn't say anything just mute chat" , and my response is how can you not get tilted when you spent all this time trying to get in these promos and they get screwed up cause of boosted and toxic trash. Now i am 1 ban away from being perm banned. I just like don't get it. I miss season 3-5 league when you could say anything you want to the trolls, cause this generation now gets offended by everything and league reflects on that. just my 2 cents.

From someone who participated in Tribunal and has been playing since Season 1/2, your memory of the systems during Season 3-5 is incorrect. The reason many players did not go punished was the horrible inefficiency of the Tribunal system - not that their behavior was not worthy of punishment.

then you are correct, the tribunal sucked. Hence why you could say anything you want without worry or punishment. I never said in that once that i don't get toxic cause i do, for the exact reason that I posted. Cause trolls inting your games. I post logs when league comes back up.

On a serious note, please know that it's not okay to be toxic for any reason. If you feel someone's behavior is not in line with the Summoner's Code, please report them at the end of the game, but it's not okay to be toxic in game just because you're mad at them. Remember that your negativity does not just affect the one person you're directing it at, but all people who you make see it (either your team or the entire game including enemies).

The way I look at it is this: The only thing you can control is you. You are the only common factor in all of your games. If you have someone who's playing bad or even the rare intentional feeder in this game, it won't really affect your rank statistically speaking. You may lose a few games - but your rank is based on your skill.

Statistically speaking trolls, intentional feeders, bad players, and any other people don't affect your rank at all. So if they don't affect your rank, what good is it to get mad at them? They aren't going to suddenly call Riot up and say "yo make this guy Challenger" or something, so why even bother?

3-5 years is not going to have a drastic impact on generations. Your just looking for an external force to be the reason you've been punished 3 separate times for the same reason

I act like a mature adult and dont let myself sink to those levels. Ive played since s2 and never even had a chat restriction. It seems to work for me.

An entire generation doesn't reproduce and have expedited growth in the course of 3-5 years. It's just biology.

And getting into a pissing contest with people who are trying to get a rise out of you simply isnt the mature way to handle the situation.

"Do not argue with a fool. He will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience." Same idea applies to trolls and flamers.

In a perfect world, being baited by a troll might absolve you of responsibility for your chat. But in reality, I see no way to fairly implement that.

Also, please don't feed trolls. You just encourage them to keep on trolling. Hell, I've had trolls stop trolling when they fail to provoke a reaction. It's not at all common, but it does happen.

I just play with chat turned off entirely, I throw a link to discord or teamspeak at champion select and it my teams choice if they want to use teamwork that way, otherwise, the ping system works just fine for me.
