my league account has been banned...please help!

I was playing league this morning, having fun and what not, and got off about an hour later. This afternoon i decided to play another game when i get a little window that says I've been banned at the login screen. i know for a fact that i've been a good kind player to all and don't understand why my account has been banned so suddenly. A friend of mine has also been banned today exactly at the same time as me. Has anyone else experienced this inconvenience? is it a global problem? Or having i actually done something wrong. The only thing i can think of that may have led to this was play akali and katarina bot lane with said friend. We didn't do so hot, but had fun and a good laugh on both sides of the teams. Could this be the cause? Does anyone have any thoughts to share? Please do i am desperate to know whats going on.

What message does it say? If it didn't give you a reform card or say it was a behavioral ban, there's a chance it's an account lock -- there may have been some suspicious activity. If that's the case, you can send in a ticket to Riot Support and they'll help you figure out what's going on.

If there are no chat logs it's either for scripting or account security

If you and your friend have shared your accounts you will have permaban and in the email the reason maybe will be for using 3rd party programs. Well, that's what I know. You can read the terms of use and look where you have done a mistake. Best wishes for future!
