tribunal

I think the punishment should fit the crime. Todays society is a bunch of powder kegs with paper Mache wrapping. People in this game, (seeing as is intensely large player base) is actually influencing our country. I firmly believe the over sensitive and hypocritical sense of the community that were born 1990's and later are massively due to this game and others like it. This games idea of perm banning a person that is already angry and giving them absolutely no outlet is introducing some very malicious people into society itself. People who are backed into a corner with no way to relieve their stress and angry about the iron fist that riot is controlling them with, "in their head is just as bad as communism" and leading our country down a very dark path. longer story short I believe you should allow the toxic people to play league. Don't stress over your player base it isn't going anywhere. your finances are secure. and also take into consideration people have varying degrees of life if your gonna play judge, jury, and executioner you better be able to determine what's fair because its only a matter of time before someone articulate and malicious enough actually finds something to do about this and takes it out on the wrong people. please consider the innocents that are at steak. I myself am very toxic and understand the mindset of some very bad people, I am only saying this because I know if those people picked this game up there would be hell to pay for something as minute as a in-game "small offence punishment system". And I even venture to guess this game might of contributed to some of the increase of school violence seeing as its vastly populated by school going citizens of all ages. You can continue to do what you wish and I personally will find another more productive things to do. Even though I'd like my 300 plus dollars back or at least have access to play the characters I have purchased with my money, that I have probably worked much harder than any of your creators have worked for their own money. Further money means the world to some people stop baiting them to give it to you with psychological studies and flashier icons I see the trap. I can see the trap and still cant seem to push past it. I have quit cigarettes after 15 years of smoking more than any three people I have ever met, and cannot stop myself from playing your game from time to time. I am still toxic as hell and will continue to make new accounts to get them banned because I really don't have any effort involved in making them. In doing so I also realize making new accounts and stressing my anger for your game in these low tier places will lead to others being just as pissed off and that's the upcoming player base which I am directly affecting so your tribunal really doesn't seem to be much more than a money scam for people to recreate and purchase more in game content. With all this being said maybe someone will take this post seriously and be a more creative and helpful part of the bigger picture rather than staying the course in this breeding cesspool of thin skinned self indulged people that have nothing better to do than to stare at meticulously organized flashing lights all day that offer absolutely no real world value.

Can someone give me the TL;DR? I'm guessing by the title that it has something to do with the Tribunal (which was iceboxed p/ much indefinitely for good reason), but the massive, unbroken paragraph (page, rather?) is just too hard to personally read through.

Let me provide a counter-narrative to your post.

Why should the player base be responsible for the toxic's player inability to control their own emotions?

Perhaps the toxic player should look inward and ask themselves why they feel so stressed and angry to the point where they feel there's "absolutely no outlet." Sometimes the answer to that question is a painful one.

What about taking responsibility for one's own emotions? Such as taking care of one's self, or perhaps seeing a mental health professional.

I'll grant you that this viewpoint is a two way street. But at the end of the day, players as a whole decide what behavior is acceptable in-game. You may disagree with what's become the "line" so to speak, but that's your value judgement, and you're free to speak it.

GL with the rest of your games.

I agree and disagree. I do think people have learned to take offense to everything as a method of declaring social justice and pushing a hidden agenda, but I also believe we have become desensitized to the point where we say things online or even in person that are just so out of bounds it's laughable. People have a habit of thinking in black and white and that is why our country is becoming more and more right and left extreme rather than moderate and free-thinking. I can tell someone exactly what they believe in just by having a 3 minute discussion with them. Pro-gun, anti-abortion, beer-drinking, truck-driving dog-loving patriotic cowboys for example, are easy to read because they follow a script given to them by social media influences and propaganda.
