If you go with them in Dynamic Queue no, if you directly use their account yes.

Dosent Dynamic Queue have the same effect as boosting on someones account? cause I mean you will find players in Gold that have been boosted all the way from bronze. Or players in Plat boosted from Silver and cannot compete and it "degrade the game experience for everyone involved" - Riot.

Aswell they say it takes hard work commitment and buckets of blood to gain these high ranks we all know thats not true. There are literally people paying others to que with them and carry them through rankings.

This is from Riots Article on Boosting Below.

WHY IS IT CONSIDERED BAD? MMR boosting may sound like a victimless crime, but it can have numerous negative effects on the game and other players.

1.Our Leagues system has been carefully tuned so that players are placed in the proper tier with others who are within a similar skill level. If a player's MMR is boosted unnaturally they will most definitely falter when they begin to play ranked at their new tier. If a player is unable to keep up with the other higher MMR players in their match they will most certainly.

2.It takes hard work, commitment and buckets of blood, sweat and tears for players to earn a high ranking in League of Legends. MMR Boosting devalues the commitment that many of our players make to earn their rightful place among the world’s best League of Legends players.

Bannable? As long as you're not logging into their accounts and playing, no.

Frowned upon, indeed. 1 Rank difference completely fine, 2 ranks unpreffered. 3+ nono.

Essentially if you can't get there or relatively close on your own you shouldn't be there in general.

Think of it like an allegory for back in school days, when there we're group projects/tests. If you dont understand the material you may be able to get by with a friend helping you, but if your friend can't help you and each person in the group is being graded individually for the average grade of your group, your grade is going to be bringing down everyone else's drastically ruining your teammates (who understand the work and study) grades.
