Is It Too Hard to Let Your Teammates Know This?

Hey everyone,

First post here and I just want to vent my frustrations. A couple of times I have encountered this and it frustrates me so much. This applies mostly to featured game modes (though it is also applicable to normal draft or ranked), but during the ban phase there are those that wants to play a certain champ; and I understand that. As the one who bans the three champions, I wait a couple of seconds for my other teammates to let me know which champions they want to play or don't want to play against with. A couple seconds in before the countdown gets to zero (and we lose a chance to ban someone) and no one tells me who not to ban or not to band, I would normally choose which champions are popular and annoying to me. Sounds perfectly okay and reasonable.

While this is reasonable, there are times where I would ban a champion that one teammate wants to play as. Of course, once they let me know I feel bad despite not knowing. Then that player goes on to say much more in chat. They would curse me as if I had just ruined their day. They would curse me as if I am the Teemo (Satan) of their life and I have done it on purpose. They would curse me as if I am the one to blame for every failure in their lives. They would curse me as if I had just ruined their entire life. They would curse me as if I had just started an apocalypse. They would curse me and curse at me.

That particular teammate did not let me know beforehand. They just sat there in silence without ever letting me know that they wanted to play this certain champion. It should not be my fault but they make it as if it is; and then I feel at fault. I feel that I should not be at fault. It shouldn't be hard to let me/us know which ones they want to play as or which ones they don't want to play against with. You have to let me know because I cannot read minds, especially if it is over the internet! huge sigh Why is it so hard?

TL;DR Let people know which champion you want to play as so that they don't get banned. Thank you.
