It's not okay to call random players racial slurs

In the last game I played I experienced a Cho'Gath. I was helping my top laner and he called me a %%%%%% who needs to hold my laners hands. With everything that's going on currently in the south as well as what's happened in the past. How is this kind of thing acceptable? Afterwards, he proceeded to call me the name several times after I told him that it's unacceptable and that I was of African decent. Segregation went on until the 70's in many states in this country. Just a few years ago the city of Ferguson went on a corruption tirade resulting in the death of a young man after the majority of their economy came from the arrests of black people until the government finally stepped in. In game he went on about how he's been chat banned many times before so he doesn't care. Is that acceptable that players like this can just go on and get a temp chat ban and then repeat because they are never punished enough due to their inability to learn from what has happened prior? It's like at work when people think they can just get away with not cleaning up their stations after they are done using it to leave it for another person and management does nothing about it but site the next person who uses it instead.

Afterwards he decided to state "It's not big deal, it's just chat sorry for being toxic" and then decided to call me a baby over being offended.

I understand that we can mute people, but that still doesn't fix the problem. Bandaids are great, but if the wound doesn't heal then what's the point of the bandaid?

I play a lot of this game, I'm not the best but it's nice after a day of work and a day of studying from uni. I also spend a lot of money on this game.

If he's not taken care of I will no longer be spending my money on this game if that kind of language isn't taken seriously and I'll advise others to do the same.

lol - and you're studying at a university? What, are you one of the liberal arts majors? Rudeness is annoying, but calling this much attention and caring this much about one rude person in one game to the point where you're threatening to quit if Riot doesn't pay attention to your specific case sounds a LOT like what I'd expect an entitled snowflake to do.

That language is taken very seriously. The preferred method is to report at end of game screen. Otherwise, you can submit a support ticket.

However, naming and shaming is not allowed on the boards - you'll need to edit the name out of this post.

Firstly; this behavior is incredibly offensive that you are referring to. Reporting the player using the in-game or post-lobby report feature is the best way to get those types of toxic people in trouble for their language and offensive words. But I'd also like to highlight that Riot works on a punishment tier system to give the opportunity to players to correct their behavior.

This is the punishment tier system;

First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction Third Offense: Two Week Suspension Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

If they only got a temp ban, (14-day suspension,) then reporting them will possibly flag them for a permanent suspension. You just have to be sure to report through the right channels, as Riot, for the most part, does not take reports here for the manual review of another players' behavior, they use the in-game system. Riot in no way endorses that type of hate speech and is actively trying to stop that type of behavior from running around. Please, help Riot by reporting to the proper places this kind of behavior, and letting the system do its job.
