Season 5 Diamond Player Now Has 15% Win Rate In Silver

So I just got teamed with a player who has a 15% win rate in silver, and another who has a 29% win rate in silver. ON THE SAME TEAM. Even though it was promos, I was so disgusted at the matchmaking that I dodged anyway.

But what makes the situation even harder to fathom is the fact that the 15% win rate player was DIAMOND IN SEASON 5! No joke, this account was actually diamond in season 5, yet now has a 15% win rate in silver in season 9.

I would link the op.gg to prove everything that's being said here, but I'll only do it if the mods give me permission to.

The question is, am I honestly, truly supposed to believe that a player was diamond level in season 5, then regressed to the point of being a 15% win rate player in season 9? Or is this player playing on an account they bought from someone else?

The other question I have is, is Riot in ANY way, shape, or form, serious about enforcing its rules? Why is it that even when it's blatantly obvious that someone is playing on an account that was created and used by someone else, they get to keep using it with impunity, and the account is never shut down?

In season 5 there was a thing called "boosting" where an account was paid for to get a higher ELO. That was put a stop to nearby season 7.5 because the popularity of league died pretty hard and the accounts were finally being looked into. This isn't an answer, just some helpful knowledge on a little part of the subject.

You're not. That's generally a sign of boosting or a account that was sold off to someone.

They do enforce plenty of their rules but it's not always easy for them to find each and every one of these kinds of accounts. They have various tools they use but aren't always 100% accurate as they do miss quite a few of the players that do these kind of things. I've seen many that do get banned for it and many times where they haven't been as however Riot does detect these things is far from perfect.

My first instinct was more that he's probably de-ranking on purpose, trolling many a game. But who knows. Definitely try sending a report ticket for us ;) I think all players would appreciate ya for it.
