How does the warning system work? :)

Hi fellow league of legends player!

I've been taking aaaaa long break from this game! So I just started playing on this brand new account (bcuz i cant remember my old one LOL)

So i've been wondering. A friend of mine told me he got 10 games chat restriction. Since he won't ask himself imma gonna do it xD Now as far as i Understand there's 4 warnings right?

10 games chatrestriction 20 games chat restriction 2 week ban Perma ban

Is that correct?

So if my friend gets his first warning. Obviously he will get his 20 games chat ban if he continues. But let's say after hmmm.... A year or 2 years IF the system doesnt change (which it probably will do) but lets say it doesnt. He gets toxic in a short period of time after 2 years. Will he get the 20 games chat restriction or will it start over again?

Sorry if I'm being really bad at explaining. I'm not really good at it XD

After a few months of good games (i.e. games in which you behave and are not validly reported), the system will "fall down" a level. So, the higher up in the system you are, the more time it takes to get "clean" again.

Your "friend" should probably just not be toxic if he doesn't want to be banned. It's kinda the OP strategy for not being banned at all.

If he stopped playing for 2 years and then came back, they would be at the same punishment level as before.

As told already, it only drops with a combination of time, and games played with positive behavior.

You're correct, but the way tiers work is any "normal" infractions such as basic toxicity happen, you go up 1 level. You can skip tiers through boosting, EXTREME toxicity, feeding, etc.

I think that with every warning riot threshold for the next warning is smaller

I know (from the cases I see in the forum) that if you got 14 days ban even a slight toxicity (which won't even give you a 10 days chat restrictions) will get you banned

I'm not sure about the leep from 20 chats to 14 days tho
