Not really. It's a single game of mild negativity, on an otherwise clean account. This isn't something worthy of a ban given the information we have.

To be fair, based on experience in this forum, I'm guessing OP is lying or misleading us in some way. But at face value, this is not a deserved ban.

Personally? I would classify it as a minor offense, he's just whining a bit. But like I said in my other comment, for this to be a permanent ban right off the hop on an other wise clean account is kind of suspect. So it's in my opinion that either this isn't the full logs, or the system is bugged and showing him the wrong logs (This has happened before).

You can continue attacking my character and motives, but it won't really have any effect on me, surprised you haven't noticed that yet.

You wont get a premaban instantly, you need about 6-9 games flaming overall and 2-3 games of flaming close together, doesnt matter how many games you played. I got permabanned on my account and i played 300 games this season, my 2week ban was like 3 month before my permaban... guess i shouldnt have played league after i stopped smoking... but thats riot PC police now. byebye1000€ account.

There's nothing against the rules involving getting upset and expressing yourself negatively. It's not encouraged, but it happens. We're human.

The line is when you allow negativity to grow to the point where it becomes harassment, or when it's so pervasive that you take over the chat with it and drown out everybody else.

Nobody is expecting everyone to be a zen master when they play the game, and I've never stated otherwise.

Riots new ban policy is so bad. You used to get a "you have been reported" warning after a game and i liked that. now you get instant chat restr. or if you had that before insta 2week ban.

It also doesnt matter how toxic you really are. I use a lot of "fucking" or "retard" in my chatlogs even when i talk about myself or an enemy in team chat. if you do that once you get reported the chat filter bot just assumes you must have been suuuper toxic because u used strong words a lot. its bullshit. but hey what can you do

I'm no lawyer and I don't work for Riot. If I've contradicted myself or used imprecise language, my apologies. I'm just a guy.

The point I'm trying to get across is that Riot's stance on negativity in-game is NOT zero-tolerance, unless that negativity involves hate speech or calls for violence. The original post here shows VERY minor negativity, which I would be EXTREMELY surprised to see trigger any punishment whatsoever.

Speaking up for yourself isn't punishable if done REASONABLY. I had a bad game yesterday in which I badly lost my lane, and my jungler asked for me to be reported for inting in /all chat. I told him I wasn't trolling and I'm simply having a bad game (and lagging a bit). I didn't feel the need to immediately mute and report him. The line not to be crossed is when "speaking up for yourself" becomes engaging in a flame-war that takes over the chat log. THAT is punishable.

If my explanation here isn't sufficient for you, link me the thread where I stated otherwise and I'll do my best to reconcile my posts for your information.

Okay, I have come to two conclusions which one of might actually be right. Which, I am not the judge of, I'm only saying that there has to be one of these to conclusions that is right.

You have yet to file a support ticket to Riot about this issue.

You have edited this chat log. You are lying about never having received a penalty on your account.

I hope this chat log is accurate and that is the only chat log. The only thing I can really say from opinion is that I think you probably ran into the worst of crowds to be talkative around.

I want my account back, this is the only year out of 7 that I've had any real issues with and those issues caused me to lose it in the blink of an eye. But I most definitely got several warnings that that moment was coming. Permanently banned. That was last month.

Chargebacks don't give chat logs. There were a few cases a few weeks ago where people were handed the wrong chat logs for their punishments, which could be the case here, but again would require contacting support.

I'd also mention that like below, there may be an incorrect chat log showed, and/or this person may have had a 14 day ban before and have forgotten about it (there's a couple gaps in play long enough within their recent history).

Otherwise, I agree that this merits Riot review.

he 100% had some prior shit going on, im perma as well. played for years, had every champ a lot of skins. i actually was VERY toxic back in the dasy and had a 2000 game chat restriction. that was 2-3 years ago. last year i had some minor restrictions.. this year however... had a bad day and flamed a bit: 2 week ban... 3 months and like 200 games later i stopped smoking and had another bad day: permaban.

to be fair i was most likely reported quite a few out of the 200 other games by maybe a player or two after not putting up with their bullshit or getting too emotional when people group mid for the 4th time when mid inhib is already down and we couldnt finish the 3 times before... but whatever

To me it looks like they found out, that it is more lucrative to ban players because they are kind of addicted by now and will spend a lot of money on their new account.

Why on earth would they stop the "you have been reported, everyone has bad days but be chill" messages after a toxic game that got you reported? They want you to get banned.

If you think about it a bit, for the whole community its actually not just positive, silver/gold is INFESTED with banned smurfs which makes it a pain for casual players.

They apparently took that warming out because it was confusing too many people. People thought they were being punished when the pop up happened.

Is that really the whole unedited log they gave you? It usually doesn't show just one game.

I suppose it is possible the punishment is concerning something you said in champ select or post-game lobby for this game, which are not shown in the log.

If that really is everything it may be a system error, because that does not look restriction worthy.

Hmmm, you might have been given the wrong chat logs, it's a rare bug that happens sometimes. Put in a ticket asking for the right ones.

Something is wrong here. This is a mildly negative log, but only one game, and only MAYBE worthy of a restriction. Certainly not an escalated ban.

So either you're lying about something or you were given the wrong log.

I'll toss an upvote in the meantime, because I'm quite curious as to what's going on here.

If an account is on its "parole" or on high alert and is reported for any reason while on high alert, that triggers the ban and the only way to have the case reviewed is through support.

Players found being extremely inflammatory May skip straight to permanently banned. Hence my earlier comment.

Just as when you have no punishment history, unfounded reports have no effect. Reporting does not equal a ban. This is likely a situation of wrong chat log, but if not, then as Chermorg said, it warrants Riot review.

well i just got perma'd. I admit the "pathetic" and "loser" comments were in bad taste but comon. perma ban on a 5+yr old account? most of the game 2 logs are me saying gj and trying to promote positivity. I will absolutely not make another acct or sink another dime into this game. And will be going out of my way to urge and deter people to avoid this game at all costs.
