Trying to figure out what my suspension message means

Hi I received a notice that my account was permanently suspended with the message: "Due to the actions of your main account and it receiving a permanent suspension on the Boards, all subsequent accounts are also permanently suspended. If you wish to discuss this suspension you can do so by contacting Player Support.

Can anyone tell me what this means? It is very confusing because I have only one account(I made this one since I can't post on the forums with the main one now), and I haven't posted on the boards in over 7 months. I also have never received any suspension before and to my knowledge have only received one warning for negative attitude. So how can my account be perma-banned? If anyone could help I would be very appreciative, I posted a support ticket but Riot has not gotten back to me and all my purchases and time are in that account.

Hey ItsBTrue,

I'll work with you in the ticket.

In short, your account was proactively locked due to being linked to another player who earlier in the week posted a ton of inappropriate mature content. As a result, we proactively suspended on both fronts of in-game and boards so we can get the account back to the original owner.

I looked into this for you and you'll need to continue to wait for a discussion with Player Support via the ticket you submitted. This isn't something we can help you with on the Boards. All I can say is a request was made by Riot for us to suspend your account. They'll have to discuss why with you.

Okay thank you for looking into it. So you are saying Riot asked you to suspend my account on the boards and because of this my in game account also receives the ban? I'm not really worried about not being able to post on the boards I just want to be able to play with my account.

One last thing, when I posted in the support ticket they responded saying: "For security reasons, we are not able to assist with an Account Recovery while you are logged into a League of Legends account on our Support Site.

In order to proceed further, please provide me with a different email (one that is not associated with any League account). We will create a new ticket for you using this alternate email address, where you can reply and proceed further with your recovery request."

I'm not sure why this is but I provided them with a different email and have not heard back. All of my messages in the thread are marked as "REDACTED". Does this mean they did not receive the message of my new email and maybe that is why I have not received anything back from them? They said they would open a new ticket but if I'm not allowed to sign in with that email how will I talk with them?

Redacted means they're protecting potentially sensitive information in the prior messages until they know you're actually the owner of the account in question.

I don't work in Player Support so I can't answer these questions for you.

Are you able to connect me with someone who can help with this situation? I understand the security but I am able to verify the account is mine in many ways I just need to know I am taking the correct steps and making progress in coming to a solution.

As previously stated, the only way you can discuss this is via a ticket to Player Support. I can not assist you any more than what I've already said via the Boards. There is no other way to deal with this situation.

To be clear, as someone whose account is permanently suspended from the Boards, you're not allowed to post on other accounts. The only reason I haven't suspended the account you're on now is to explain to you how to contact Riot regarding this. I can not assist you any further. Further posting on this account will result in its suspension as well.

it is common that people buy league accounts. why do you think, you have the right, to steal people's accounts at any time. No other MOBA i've played has done such a thing. Because its his account, he can do with it what he wants. If his account gets hacked it's probably his own fault. And if it turns out its not, just have him change his email address and password, and leave him the fuck alone.

Maybe he bought the account. probably cuz you banned his previous accounts. Also i am disgusting a communist authoritarian Riot employee uses the tag Mod Razgriz. Razgriz is for people who believe in liberty. not sick minded elitists on a power trip cuz they were a beta male in high school or because they want to protect themselves legally. well news flash that is all bullshit. People should be liable for their own accounts. You shouldn't even be banning people permanently for speech. Anti freedom menaces do that. At most, a 1 month ban, and put them in low priority queues if they don't change.

I went back and read the terms of use and immediately said nope fuck Riot you should not be able to seize my account on a whim.

There are plenty of people who do not remember all their information when they first made an account and they do not care to remember. So you assume the account was stolen.

If accounts getting stolen is so common, maybe you should look at your company and update your security and get your fucking shit together?

I approve 100% ! Have to ask why you think this is a bad rule? I only wish they would adhere to this quicker and more often, also the other one of getting rid of people who were already Board-Banned not being able to post on any account ! Thanks Riot !

u guys realise banning ppl from the game will only lessen ur profits. this game has got to the point where ppl dont overly care to play it anymore and many other games are taking over. banning i feel is not the best way to tackle rage. the best way to tackle it is better match fixing. i have been a long time player (5 years) and never had a ban. i have just received one and i think its bullshit that ppl can be banned for play this game with ppl that arnt up to the skill level. Im not saying im pro and i can learn a lot but atleast i know when and when not to fight. i really wish ppl understood the frustration ppl get playing this game. i know its not a good thing rage against ur team but when ur serious about the game and u have ppl that just fuk around and do nothing other then loose it for u there is nothing other than getting shitty that u feel when playing this game.

yep, and that's why me, and all my peeps in the dozens, agree we hope Riot's HQ burns or falls into the ground of the Earth and swallows it. Because Riot deserves it. Your company is just as bad as EA if not worse. It's fucking pathetic. Enjoy the money you make, in 5 years or less League of Legends isn't going to mean shit.
