3 ideas against scripting

  1. Implement a program in the client that constantly checks the background programs while in-game to detect third party game-changing programs, make the people agree to it in the EULA.
  2. Make a report option "Possible scripter". If a player gets reported often spectate him live.
  3. Kind of like the second one, lil different. Basically stolen from CS:GO : If you played long enough etc you can sign up for a program like the tribunal (GET IT BACK ONLINE ALREADY!). Once the replay system + new client is there send replays of frequently reported scripters to the tribunal where people can watch the reported games and judge it.

Does a system like that even exists? Plus it would have to recognize things like Skype, Curse Voice, Discord, voice services, as well as music programs as well since I would assume those change after every game and could in a sense be label as 3rd party changing programs. So if one doesn't exist they would need to make it which could take years to even get a basic running program!

I don't really know about the CS go thing, but that I can see be heavily abused, oh I know who this person is let's ban him for fun!

  1. I think there is more than enough invasion of privacy perpertrated by online companies and governments as it is, thank you very much.
  2. This report option exists
  3. The problem with the tribunal is the delay between the deed and the punishment. People ended up getting punished for stuff they had done months ago.
