Hi guys, my name is ZeroFighter02 and i probably WAS one of the biggest flamers on the Rift, i had 25-game chat restriction, and i sais by myself, now i stop flame, but today after a game i got a 14 days ban out of nowhere, with games from a month ago, i just wanna know, do the previous bans ever get removed at start of season 7 or something? Or do i get permaban when i do it once again even after 5 years?

BlueThingamajig1 votesThis is about 95% true. It takes 3 months to decay your punishment tier (From "next is permaban" to "next is a 14-day ban"). If you don't chat (or troll, or intentionally feed, etc.), you literally cannot receive an 'instant-feedback' punishment. The other 5% is that it will probably take 2-3 games of valid reports, rather than just one. Probably.

so if you're a hardcore flamer you're pretty fucked, might aswell start leveling your smurf
FatMansRevenge1 votesYes, bans do reduce in severity over a combination of time and games played. There is no formula or breakdown of how it works available, but the general consensus is that about 3 months of regular play will reduce your punishment level by 1. Unfortunately, you can't just choose to not play on that account for 3 months, as that won't do anything to reduce your punishment level.
