I was chat restricted for 24 games, please tell me how?

I realize it's one sided. So to give context, our jg flames and trolled us as well as the ADC did the same. I pinged for help top and asked for it and the jg just laughed and that was the start of it. At no point did I flame, bully or troll anyone. I did call him out for being AFK and for trolling and what not to myself. (Circling around nexus when we still have outer turrets for around 5-6 minutes is basically AFK without the kick notification.) I realize me saying "They can have top, I'm out" may sound like I gave up. But I was in voice with mid lane. We both suggested that if I said that maybe our jg would actually come top. Shocking, he didn't. And obviously I didn't give up on the game and still played on. I did lose lane, bad. I'm not saying I didn't. I do have bad games just like everyone else. But that didn't tilt me, I didn't afk. I didn't give up and I most certainly didn't troll anyone. I did inform them that with their trolling and flaming and all of that bad stuff that I'd report them. I also muted them so I didn't have to pay attention to them going crazy on me any longer.

After the game I was hit with a 24 game chat restriction. Can anyone tell me where I was in the wrong to warrant such a disciplinary action to be taken against myself?

Constantly telling the person how you're going to report them and how they're going to be chat restricted/banned is viewed as negative by the IFS.

In this situation, it would have been better to just report them and move on, rather than continuing the conversation with them.

I didn't see that in IFS. Most times just saying something simple as "reporting you" gets people to realize their actions and chill out as well as even apologize sometimes. But as you can see, I shortly after just muted them and let it be the rest of the game.

Telling someone multiple times that they're trolling and you're gonna report them and telling em they're afk (basically saying they're useless) is considered harassment. I would have reported you after you started bitching with the "they can have top" "I'm outy"... Like who wants a top laner who gives up and bitches the entire time just cuz the jg didn't gank for them? Fuck that shit man. Stop with that mentality. Man up and play your fucking lane. Watch your minimap so you don't get camped and fucked. You can't rely on your jungle.
