Permenant Ban - Justified?

Recently I have returned to League from a long break. I come back to log in and find the message on the client that I have been permanently suspended. So I check my email and turns out I've been accused of using scripts and third party software. As a result I write a ticket to riot to get this revoked, because I have never used a script or anything to give me an advantage over other players. And the only response I get from riot is 'our system detected the use of scripts, and as a result your ban will not be lifted' i appeal this by trying to provide proof that I'm innocent such as checking where I have logged in via IP address, as I am the only person who uses my account my IP would appear frequently. In addition, I received no email from riot saying my account had be compromised. I am desperate to get my account back as I have put a lot of time and money into, and now riot have just taken that away from me.

Inactive accounts are commonly prey for hackers to test out their scripts / send out boosting messages. Sometimes even used to boost others.

Contact support and get them to forward you to the fraud department. Have the fraud department check to see if your account has been compromised.

If so, tell them nicely to check whether it was the hacker that used the 3rd party programs.

I used to work at an online payment processor and I can 100% agree with what people are saying here.

Hackers LOVE dormant accounts because it is far less likely that the account owner will re-secure the account and lock them out of it.

Also, when companies see suspicious, and possibly fraudulent activity they will restrict account access to prevent your information from being further compromised.

I can guarantee you that Riot is able to identify the geographic location that you typically access your account from using the IP address provided by your Internet service provider. If you had gone dormant for some time, and suddenly your account is accessed from an IP address that is significantly different, or is even known to be used by hackers, they will restrict your access until they can be sure that you have verified ownership and reestablished security.

However, there may still be something else going on. Ultimately, you should contact Riot to find out.

Contact player support. It sounds like a paymant or hacking attempt.
