Who else thinks this Version of getting rewards is rigged and unfair. (Was told by my support ticket responder to put this here). Who else is with me that they should revert to the old way of if you get banned/suspended or repeatedly punished thats how you lose rewards.

This current system is by far way to extreme and unfair in how it operates.

Okay around a week ago I got chat restricted and am no longer able to get end of season rewards JUST because of the timing of my restriction. I was Honor Lvl 4 and dropped to 0 because of just one game where I overly tilted, I think this system is completely unfair because

  1. The timing makes it impossible to get from Honor 0 to Honor 2 (After restricted games it took 43 games to EVEN UNLOCK honor gaining again)
  2. A repeat offender can get rewards but I can't just because of timing on restriction.
  3. Since Preseason 1 I am pretty sure this is MY FIRST punishment of any kind, if not first it is the first in YEARS.

I have put a lot of time and money into this game over the past 9 years, I never had a account banned or suspended, was never ineligible for end of season rewards until now. I really want my rewards and I know the current system is completely unfair, and its all just because of timing. The system should of stayed on the if you where repeat offender, Suspended or banned or even had it set up if you got a chat restricted it dropped you ONE honor level instead of all the way from 4 to 0. All I am asking is that you give the rewards to me and to the people like me who got into this crappy situation because of your horrendous system.

It simply takes way too damn long to level up in honor and like you said it’s way too punishing for being toxic or tilted in ONE game. My chat restriction literally only had one games worth of chat logs.. like are you serious? One bad game and now I don’t get season rewards? Nobody is perfect and everyone has bad days for goodness sake. How much honor you lose should depend on what level you were at when you got punished. It’s actually gross to hear about people going from 5 all the way to 1 just because of 1 punishment. Riot really needs to revisit honor and how fast you level up if they want to link ranked rewards with honor level. Cause the way it is right now is nothing short of bull shit.

The honor system is a mess, but the old system would have been the same in your case. If you received a punishment past a certain date (I believe around 2-3 months before season end), then you would get no rewards. I'm not sure if it was the same for chat restrictions though, but I remember having a friend who didn't get rewards because of a punishment they got end of season.

The issue with the current rewards system is they are using it to extend punishments by tying it to ranked rewards. Getting to honor level 2 can take hundreds of games. The system is not transparent either. There's no indication if you're making progress and that's problematic when they choose to make the checkpoints excruciatingly long. Many people are surprised to find out how long it takes and we don't know what exactly halts and aids progress, we just have a general idea, which was fine when rewards were just rewards. Now it is part of the punishment system, and that requires clarity.

What the new system does is encourage grinding after you've served out your punishment. If that's the route they're choosing to go, then fine, but at least make it more transparent. I don't know if honor should never be tied to ranked rewards, but the current honor system shouldn't be.

honor system and automatic punishment system is busted af... I have a guy cussing me out in chinese and I have to put up with it, I said something in return and because I'm speaking english I got ban...

Hey GoA Dai,

I feel your pain. I've been fighting this for the past month now. I've talked to at least 15 rioters, and created two different league posts. I feel riot won't bat an eye because all it seems they care about are putting out new emotes and making money. Maybe if we introduce the idea of paying to get honor reset, their ears will open up? haha

lol --- I did my 10 games got rank never bother with honor because - I think it is outright stupid AF but won't get any season rewards oh well :/

I’m in the same boat. Played league for 4 years, not a single punishment. Then I get tilted (which was my fault) and get a chat restriction, so I lose rewards on this account due to the timing. I have two other accounts I’ve hit gold on, but this is my main so it’s kind of annoying.

Yeah this thing is a whole mess, The only thing on my history besides from the one game that got me restricted is a few dc's mostly from Power outages or Internet dropping cuz Comcast sucks. But theres no more than 5 dcs in the past maybe year.

if it was only one game, you wouldn't have gotten restricted. if you weren't toxic at the end of the season, you wouldn't have had this problem. it's designed to be a punishment.

I had 1 bad game playing as ap shen 3 weeks ago. Team reported me for "int". I was banned for 2 weeks for 1 game. I get no end of season rewards now. I worked hard to maintain silver. i have like 500 games. I didn't int. No one cares.

You don't drop from honor 4 down to honor 0 with a Single Chat Restriction. A CR will knock you down to honor 1. A CR while Honor 1 will knock you to 0. A ban will knock from whatever honor down to 0.

I got chat restricted a good 3 months ago and am still honor 1 check point 3, really disappointed i wont be getting my border this season

I dropped to honor level 1 because of a 10 games chat restriction and wont get my rewards. The best part is: Only one out of 3 games was pure toxic. The rest was mostly discussion RIP. (well still deserved i guess)

Don't worry, next season they're making changes

"As long as you’re Honor level 1 or higher, you’ll be eligible to earn Split Points. At Honor level 2 and above, you’ll earn bonus points toward split rewards".

So unless you mess up really bad, you will get rewards next season.

I've been saying this (along with many others on boards) that the first offense shouldn't be counted towards end season due to it being a warning hit (and consider it usually only takes 10 games chat restrict for most players) and it seems like riots has been listening to the **community ** in regards to these changes.

I think this method is better.

It prevents those that just get toxic and punished at the start of the season, then decide to just sit it out, and still able to get rewards.

It sends a stronger message to those toxics during the end of season to not be toxic, as things get more heated up during the end of season.

It's not that hard to get out of h1, people have gotten back to h2 in 3 weeks time. The quickest I've seen is 5 days. People hard stuck in h1 are usually still displaying sufficiently consistent mild toxic behavior.

Should the honor system have more transparency on how it works? Yes. Should the rewards be tied to honors? I still say yes.
