Ok first gonna try to be civil i know the flames are coming.... permabanned for saying %%%% once in a match when being called %%%got and retard by my support for 30+ minutes.... then getting over our issues and winning the match.... now i did have a 2 week but i riot did not follow their own rules for banning they skipped steps one and two completely on me..... IT just amazes me ... I went how many matches since my two week without any incidents and one sour apple and one swear word lost me my entire account.... It saddens me to say i can't support rito anymore

Punishments generally follow a basic escalation path:

First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction
Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction
Third Offense: Two Week Suspension
Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

However, it is possible to skip to a Two Week or Permanent suspension based on the severity of the behavior in the game. Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account.

Hate speech (such as the word you used) is considered excessively negative behavior, and typically results in an immediate 14-day ban on the first offense. Given that you HAD a 14-day ban, any subsequent violations will result in a permanent ban unless your track record since your last ban shows a long-term improvement in your behavior. Note that "long term improvement" usually means several months.

Further, that is the timeframe estimated to drop your account punishment by one level. Hate speech on top of the chat restriction level on a previously punished account would likely still result in a permanent ban.

also went 30+ games no incidents but one little swear word and telling the kid to stop tilting his own team so him and his buddy could abuse the report system is awesome but oh well i uninstalled and cant say i will be coming back...

It typically takes significantly more than 30 games to deescalate a punishment, sadly.

meh its all good.... My fault in the end i guess... oh well off to other games.. i can't recover $100 i spent on this and it kinda tilts me even more being permabanned for that word once.. when flamed the entire game... wish they would read chat logs first before permabanning and stuff to see how far other players are pushed before they snap

But then what is the truth? On the EUNE boards, the mods told me that it is like 2 weeks.

The actual response is that no one really knows. We know it's tied to games played instead of merely time, but it's possible that it varies based on punishments, report rate, or other factors we're not sure of. Riot hasn't revealed the specifics of how the system works.

I personally like to be conservative in my estimates, so that players don't risk getting surprised when they find out their account is NOT deescalated.

Tbh there could be some sort of visible timer. Some sort of combination between games played and time should be a balanced mix between the two. It's a real risk once you got baned for 2 weeks because you are on the edge.

I believe it's intentional that it ISN'T visible. I don't think Riot wants to give a signal that effectively says "hey -- it's okay to be a little toxic again, since your punishment is entirely gone."

I understand punishment may be needed but permabanning people who also spend money on your game is a BAD BAD business plan.. def when you watch youtubers swear ingame all the time and nothing happens ( cause you can't ban Twitch personalitys or it looks bad)

Not really, especially if the person spending money is consistently behaving poorly. Think of it like this:

Players a, b and c are playing the game. A has spent $200 on the game but consistently behaves poorly. B and c have also spent $200 on the game but do not behave poorly. Eventually a's behavior is so bad that it causes b to quit the game and not recommend it to others. C decides to stick around and spends more money on the game while a ends up getting permabanned for consistently poor behavior.

See what happened? A's poor behavior not only got him banned but also drew away a current customer in b and possibly more while c stuck around, follows the rules and gets to spend more money on the game with no fear of getting banned. Not only that but c will most likely advertise for the game as well and potentially bring more people in to play in the process also.

The c-word is a gendered slur. It doesn't carry the same weight across the entire world (especially in Australia), but in much of the USA it's considered a really bad thing to call somebody.

Just show them a reason to get your account back, I'm sure if you were to tell them you wouldn't use such words again they could put your account on a trial period. Then look over the games to ensure you didn't bad mouth anyone in those games. But if they did do this you'd have to respect a 3rd strike system.

I don't even know how to contact them anymore since they took about the Contest bans ... my main account has never been perma-2 week or chat banned ever

You can submit a ticket to player support, however, they will not give your account back on any kind of "trial period" or anything like that. They can check into the ban and if it was done in error can get it lifted.

There is no longer an option coming back from a permaban on a trial or 3rd strike basis.

I would submit a ticket, maybe giving a small plea of sorts. Not, "begging" to get it back. Just apologize or something similar. I wouldn't know how it works, I usually tend to just keep away from typing in chat (Because it requires me to stop playing for a few seconds)

Most swear words that have to do with a life threat such as the 3 letter word I wont say, the word you used and the N word. Usually are an autoban. So I don't think those get email reports

ohh cause it said i should have gotten an email.... but i didnt oh well i sent a ticket to see what they say .. like i said i have a lvl 30 account with like 3-4 seasons on it never banned.... I sent them the name of that to show them i don't get banned or slip very often
