Dear Riot Games, After playing this game since season 1 outside of beta I've grown to notice your tribunal stipulations are growing to somewhat idiotic natures. 14 day suspension Fine ill deal with that but lets put this into perspective when you have a team of 3 people who do nothing but trash talk you for no reason and a jungler that has no idea what he is doing and just decides that he ( and his club mates) are going to report you for being "toxic" how are you not gonna do anything about them do the exact same thing? I was quite literally told to kill myself all because my opposing lane was a kill lane and i was just told to end my life cause i was a "5 year old piece of shit that should have been aborted" but no that's totally fine and i went to defend myself telling the ENTIRE enemy team about what was happening and yet i still feel like no repercussions. Your game has grown to astronomical proportions. and yet you still dont seem to understand the difference between defending and antagonizing. I take full responsibility for how i acted because of that fact I " a player that has spent close to a grand on this game alone ( oh yeah that account got banned too thanks for that cant get my money back but no big deal right?) and yet you still have the balls to suspend me but take no actions against the player(s) that are telling people to kill themselves??? Thats cool cant wait to see that lawsuit cause im going to be cheering for the family that sues you for not taking care of this game i can tell you first hand ive hand some of my closest friends commit suicide for reason just like this. And before anyone tells me they need tougher skin and just not to play the game. No they play the game because they like the game. BUT FOR YOU TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO LITERAL TOXICITY GREATER THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE. That is where i cross the line i believe you need to shut your game down and if i had the power i would do it on the strict bases that you cant control your community. In my terms FUCK YOU. And no im not doing this out of anger cause if it was anger i would have done it on Season 2 when it first started. Piss off riot ill laugh the day that this exact thing happens and it causes you to lose not only your game, but the PRIVILEGE to make games. Sincerely, A Wrongfully banned and very concerned gamer

Truth on what? the board or what other people are saying its really up to the players to decide who gets banned in this game the tribunal just looks at it and says yeah they got report 3 times out of 10 players take him out coach

Best one is like "Sure i had 17 chat restrictions and 14 days ban 3 times, but Riot should have warned me that i am about to get perma ban so i can reform"

Muting only goes so far, me and my premade did report them aswell but its still seems like nothing is taking effect

Are you serious? This is pretty hard to believe, but if that's really the case, i'm reeeeally sorry for you men. A friend of me died nearly 15 years ago because of black ice while she was driving to go home. That was pretty tough. Can't imagin how hard it would be if 3 of my friends die -___-

Yes it is really the case, sorry to hear about your friend but yes ive had 3 of my closest friends from elementary that this game was just the final straw for them and its because of reason like these people in these games that just cant keep their mouths shut like i personally told them just mute them well they followed them around and just continuously harassed them to the point of no return

Would have loved to but unfortunaly im a boosted monkey that has no idea how to take in game chat and form it in to the game other than cppy and past and for some reason mine wont let me do that

Funny, ive had 12 accounts just to prove my point on how they dont "permaban" unless you are scripting you dont see a perma ban, The whole time ive played this game its been nothing but people telling me that the tribunal doenst do anything, and yet here i am???

They can threaten to report you all day long, and if you weren't toxic (this could even be mildly toxic) the system won't punish you.

Understand 2 main things within the system:

  1. System punishes based on consistency x severity
  2. You'll only get a punishment notification when the game you reported that person dealt the punishment. Meaning if they play another game and get punished, you won't see any notification.

If a person played thousands of games with positive behavior (not only neutral behavior), and suddenly they become racist in a game, chances are they won't get punished for that one game, as their toxicity consistency is really low.

On the flip side, if someone is consistently mildly toxic, they'll get punished when they play enough games with the same behavior.

There are also alot of people mistaking proper criticism as toxicity. Telling people play safe or suggesting a build / game play strategy while they disagree with you is not toxic. The same types of people also don't know the differences between feeding and intentional feeding, thinking that all feeding is the same.

In my games, if you ever tell me that you are reporting me for being toxic or intentional feeding, I will be the one that goes "lolololol k", cos what you are just telling me is that you don't understand how the system works.

We have also seen people with chatlogs that say "Try to report me, nothing will happen" and we see them punished by the system.

So they ones that say those things either fully understand the system, or have no idea how the system works.

We say "chatlogs or it didn't happen", cos you are in denial that you are toxic. You were found guilty by the IFS to be toxic, yet you deny it and claim that the system is broken.

It's your turn to prove your innocence.

You keep saying that... but your OP closes with the claim that you were wrongfully banned. You can't have your cake and eat it, too. Either you consider your punishment to be wrong/unfair (in which case: post your logs so people can verify that) or you accept full responsibility for your actions.

You may not have said that you did nothing wrong, but quite obviously you seem to have the opinion that what you did wasn't wrong enough to warrant the punishment you received.

fair enough. At least you own up to it better than most IMO. Here is the thing I don't get if you know you are acting a certain way and you are inching closer to a perma why not just change the behavior buying the champs or starting over has to get old eventually.

Seems as if they are cracking down these days and I can understand why people will act a certain way if they think there isn't any consequence. The community backed Riot into a corner on this one

edit: damn you respond fast. People request logs because 90% of the people who say they are being unfairly punished or targeted by Riot (which is funny) and then it is easier to understand the logic to the ban. In this case you owned up to your attitude and ban so no real reason to post them

no the final ban is reviewed usually by Tantrum. The system was created by him and he explained how it works the ban system is not the same then what it was in recent seasons

ill own up to everything but when i get banned because of me trying to "defend myself" (in some peoples eyes they just like to see you squrim and get pissy) IE everyone in LoL that doesnt have a damn honnor ribbon ( no offense to those who dont have/want them) but still my point in my mind remains valid on what riot is doing now adays since s1

lol good analogy It only takes 1 report doesnt matter if all 9 follow suit or whatever. I think the whole ill report you if you do X or whatever is dumb thats on the community but punishing the community for poor behavior had to come to a head at some time or people will walk away

I think that is debatable its impossible to read all reports I would have to assume since everyone is report happy. The look for the "keywords" as it was explained and some are worse then others a racist taunt apparently is an automatic 14 day ban

Exactly hence having a auto mated system that looks for those keywords and i think certain people have cracked the word code that can get someone banned for 14 days with ease even if they didnt do anything

How would that work? Even if we assume that the system was a simple word filter (which it isn't; outside of slurs), and even if we assume that people somehow managed to "crack" that filter and find out which things get people banned: How would they get people banned, without them doing anything? Even if people had 100% knowledge of what gets people banned, those people still have to do the thing that gets them banned.

Unless someone that has "cracked" said code can force the system to think they are being toxic with previous game logs. wouldnt be the first time someone has hacked into the league servers

So you went from implying people cracked the code to people:

  • Hacking their servers
  • Modifying their code without Riot noticing
  • In a way to precisely make your logs seem more toxic than they are
  • But also in a way that doesn't effect more people, since otherwise Riot would notice this immediately when they sample punishments, of which a ton should now suddenly be for non-toxic logs

Are you really suggesting that people are doing something that is next to impossible and highly illegal just for the sake of getting people banned that don't deserve it? I'd make a tinfoil-hat joke... but to be honest that seems unfair to tinfoil hatters at this point.

Here's the thing its a game that is meant to be fun shamefully people ruin it for the next person for whatever reason but in Riots eyes you are supposed to turn the other cheek or mute is it always possible probably not but the moderation on reports could probably be better
