It honestly doesnt make sense to me that riot give me a 2 weeks suspension after skipping 25 chat restriction. I understand they want 0 tolerance but given after 4-5 years of me playing the game almost strictly on this account and getting two week banned, doesnt mean im toxic it means in one game of urf i was messing around and got carried away, and furthermore this two week ban might be the reason i quit league, honestly is you look at how long and how much i play the game riot should know it was just a bad day or whatever. but my point is that i see howw they are trying to make the community better but if they give me a instant 2 week ban instead of chat restriction i really cant do much else given i have all my time in my one account.

Unfortunately, that feeling of "wow...this was sudden and now I don't know what do to for two weeks" is supposed to be the intended reaction on a zero tolerance policy. The goal is to let you know, in no uncertain terms, that that sort of behavior is entirely unacceptable.

14-day bans are usually only given out immediately in cases of intentional feeding, extreme toxicity, hate speech, racism, or encouragements to self-harm. All of these are policies that Riot is SUPER strict on, and that's why they earn the immediate escalated punishment. Riot gets that people have games where they get carried away, but those are the behaviors Riot has decided (correctly, in my opinion) are too extreme even when carried away.

Sure, we all might snap and tell someone to fuck off. But there's a difference between that and defaulting to language thats ONLY purpose is to offend or threaten.

If the two week ban makes you quit League, best of luck with whatever you pick up next. If it doesn't, remember that you can always keep something like a stress ball at the side of your desk if you're a player who has fine behavior until that 0.01% of games where you snap. In those games? Stop typing and destroy the stress ball. :P

They don't try to make you a better person. This is what your parents should do by spanking your ass for insulting people over a video game. Riot gives you a time out so you can realize that next time when you act like a raging brat your account will be gone forever.
