It honestly doesnt make sense to me that riot give me a 2 weeks suspension after skipping 25 chat restriction. I understand they want 0 tolerance but given after 4-5 years of me playing the game almost strictly on this account and getting two week banned, doesnt mean im toxic it means in one game of urf i was messing around and got carried away, and furthermore this two week ban might be the reason i quit league, honestly is you look at how long and how much i play the game riot should know it was just a bad day or whatever. but my point is that i see howw they are trying to make the community better but if they give me a instant 2 week ban instead of chat restriction i really cant do much else given i have all my time in my one account.

Unfortunately, that feeling of "wow...this was sudden and now I don't know what do to for two weeks" is supposed to be the intended reaction on a zero tolerance policy. The goal is to let you know, in no uncertain terms, that that sort of behavior is entirely unacceptable.

14-day bans are usually only given out immediately in cases of intentional feeding, extreme toxicity, hate speech, racism, or encouragements to self-harm. All of these are policies that Riot is SUPER strict on, and that's why they earn the immediate escalated punishment. Riot gets that people have games where they get carried away, but those are the behaviors Riot has decided (correctly, in my opinion) are too extreme even when carried away.

Sure, we all might snap and tell someone to fuck off. But there's a difference between that and defaulting to language thats ONLY purpose is to offend or threaten.

If the two week ban makes you quit League, best of luck with whatever you pick up next. If it doesn't, remember that you can always keep something like a stress ball at the side of your desk if you're a player who has fine behavior until that 0.01% of games where you snap. In those games? Stop typing and destroy the stress ball. :P

Yeah i realized how much time ive put into this if i dont know what do without leagye and tahanks for giving me luck the other dude that commeneted is half the reason i realized this community is full of hate and rage and the reason i want to quit after looking the boards for half an hour and the amount of hate ive seen is unrivaled in any other community no reason to play this unless im making money off of this game.

This board especially tends to be full of emotion on both sides -- we have players frustrated at what they perceive are unjust bans, players frustrated at Riot's punishment system as a concept, players who feel their speech has been restricted, players who think people are too easily offended, and, yes, players who get angry at / frustrated with / sick of dealing with the players listed above. Tensions run high.

For what it's worth, the community in general is better than people give it credit for. A lot of really great players simply play the game without chatting, and the human brain's predisposition of remembering negative experiences more clearly than positive ones also tips the balance a bit. If you go out and actively encourage pleasant conversation in your games, you'll be surprised at how much of it there really is. Alternatively, if you do return to League, seek out the communities that exist where you can find friendly players to play with. Doing so not only may give you friends to express your annoyance with a game to on a non-Riot chat channel, but also can drastically decrease the number of games where you get frustrated at the behavior of a random player you don't know. :)

Every single day we have multiple people on this board that annoy everyone with their "oh but I'm the victim stupid Riot for banning me! I'm such a nice person eh eh eh" posts. You probably ruined many games not only this one for many people because you think it is okay to tell people that they should kill themselves or whatever you said that triggered your ban. And people like you ruined hundreds of games for me aswell, in a game that I play to relax and have some fun in. Yes that makes me angry, especially the fact that you seriously try to act as you were the victim in this case. Surprise, you aren't.

And still I never flamed anyone ingame, never got banned or even chat restricted in the around 5 years that I play this game while you got banned for being toxic and using hate speach. Are YOU seriously in the position to judge me? I don't think so.

They don't try to make you a better person. This is what your parents should do by spanking your ass for insulting people over a video game. Riot gives you a time out so you can realize that next time when you act like a raging brat your account will be gone forever.

I understand you're trying to make a point here, but please tone it down a little. This is walking the line of flaming/being a jerk to the individual user. I would recommend giving constructive feedback instead of antagonizing them - they're already upset as it is.
