Speculating why people get so toxic

Heya. So i decided to post this in NA becuase people can't speak complete simple sentances in EU. Maybe I'm just tilted but i dunno. Here's my last game for some context.

So i'm trying to figure out the reason for people being so toxic in this game. I just played my second game as an ADC this season, and it was somewhat fine the first 10 minutes (dispite the fact that I'm inexperienced, and suck, of course. haha :^) ) but after that, it all went downhill. Yeah, it was a generic league of legends arguement bla bla bla. But for the purpose of this thread I'm going into detail. Multiple teammates started typing stuff such as_ "Best ADC LUL"_ in chat after i made a misstake. And yeah, it was my second game as an adc this season so i couldn't really blame 'em too bad. Anger gets the best of us, right? It's understandable to be frustrated with bad teammates.

So after like 10 messages of "Best ADC, LUL", "Good job" the like, i wasn't too happy with it so i decided to tell 'em to back off. I said "This is my second game as an adc this season. People make misstakes. Just accept it."

One guy responded with "Well you could've just told us this is your second game" and yeah, he or she is right. It was sort of a bad thing, the fact that i didn't warn my team beforehand. That would've been the optimal thing to do, but i by no means have an obligation to do that. They were oh, so obsessed with the fact that i didn't warn them beforehand. You thought they would've noticed that fact by themself after all of my big misstakes i made in-lane. (And yes, they were surely looking at my lane all of the time in order to comment on my every move, i can guarantee you that.

So after i about 10 more toxic comments about my ability to play adc i said "It amazes me that people with your maturity are even able to log onto a computer." The same guy from earlier responed with "You're literally the most TOXIC player I've met, LOL" (yeah, the "LOL" doesn't really belong there, i know.) And so i responded "I'm simply being rude because you're being rude. You can't expect others to be your best friends after you act all rude like that. Rudeness angers people, it's not that complicated." And of course, since that sentance overshot his/her ability to communitace with other human beings, he/she didn't have anything to say, and simply kept going with the_"best adc lmaooo"_ comments.

So, on with the speculation. Why do you think that people are so toxic? My guess is that becuase this game has such a big audience, the chances of attracting toxic players increases dramatically. Or maybe it is the nature of how the game works that brings out the worst of a certain group of people. The ones with anger issues, or people that are generally rude, that is. And before you go off calling me a p*ssy or whatever for reacting to thease toxic people at all, yes, you're right. Somewhat. But there's a limit to how much one can take.

I find I get really aggitated when people aren't showing up to play as I am. So to be direct - I get bitchy because there aren't enough leagues.

I want a game full of try-hards who've done research and play to win. I don't want to explain to the jungler that bot lane is over pushed. I don't want to explain roaming, objective control, or build compositions (typically "They have 3 AP, build MR" or "No, you're dying because you didn't build MR).

What these kids don't realize is that it's 4 other people's 45 minutes. And some of us have 1 maybe 2 games a day. I work full time, have class part time, and then whatever else is going on in life. I sneak games in. I don't skip homework and play from 3:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. So you screwing around one game really ruins my day.

I think that's maybe the biggest reason I want a 25+ league. Not maturity, but time.

IMO toxicity started a long time ago because of bad players who over time have continued to ruin games, never getting better and making the same stupid ass mistakes over and over and over. They can't understand that maybe a MOBA isn't for them. Toxicity has grown to epic proportions over time because the developers have done nothing meaningful to curb bad play. If you can learn from your mistakes then great, but if you won't or can't, people are human and eventually they will get pissed and they are going to say something about it. The baddies all say to just not say anything at all. Get a clue, right or wrong, not everyone can do this. I think that is a very high and unrealistic expectation to put on anyone.

Say what you want but if you are one of these players who refuse to get better or are unable to get better and continue to play and ruin games, you are guilty of causing this toxicity and in turn have cried enough tears that the developers have appeased your sorry ass by allowing you to report those people who hurt your feelings.

I don't have the answer and maybe nobody has the answer but the stupid shit they are doing now isn't working because toxicity is still horrible and will continue to be horrible until they fix all the causes of toxicity.

Bad players who fit the description above are toxic too and there is not one damn thing in place to fix that part of the problem but excuses by those players.

People are toxic because it's an online game and if somebody feeds that's the one interaction with that person they've had. People wanna win, and when you get shit teams, people get pissed off. It's really not that hard to comprehend. Toxicity comes from people under performing.
