Got perma-banned for no reason?? * /r/League_Of_Legends_

Okey, so Riot Games sent me an e-mail saying that their systems detected 3rd party programs so i got perma-banned..

Thing that doesn't mean to be fair because i haven't used ANY 3rd party program ever.

I play league of legends on MAC OS and after doing some research i realized there are no 3rd party programs that can be used with League Of Legends while playing on MAC OS

I've been playing League of legends since season 3.. I got challenger in season 5 by playing MID with champs like fizz, ahri, xerath etc People on season 5 called me scripter but i never got a ban because even if i got reported the systems couldn't detect any 3rd party program because i don't even play in windows..

Then i got challenger again on season 6 playing only ahri.. Riot implemented their "new report system" in where people could report people for cheating just because they want

Then after getting called out a lot of times i got tired. I installed windows on my mac and immediately installed plays.tv so i could proof i don't use any "scripting" program by recording my plays and stuff..

Then after some days of playing on windows riot sent me an email saying i'm banned? like wtf I have proofs on my plays.tv in where everybody can see how am i playing with my friends, ranking to get more points in challenger

also.. if their systems detected any "scripting program" as they said after i talked to them why aren't my smurfs banned? smurfs in where i play the same champions as my main account. Oh, i know why they are not banned.. the reason is because in elo like diamond5, platinum and gold people don't report for cheating just because they are mad..

I have even played on ESL tournaments.. You think an scripter would play stuff like that? in where you could get to finals then play in a place where everybody can see you? That doesn't make any sense Riot.

I'm actually playing the Mexican E-sports League And also i'm playing the Riot Open Blue Come on, there are no "scripters" that would play that stuff..

It's not fair that because of dumb people just reporting because they want, a normal player like me getting banned for no reason.'

Hey!

I** installed windows** on my mac and immediately installed plays.tv.

Two questions on that - is it a legit Windows copy? Plays.tv appears to be a 3rd party app, yeah?

So, as a heads up, I'm not Player Support (I'm on Skins), but it may be helpful to check out our stance on 3rd party applications.

That said, while the apps you installed may not directly be related to scripting, if it somehow touches the in-game experience, it could be ban-worthy. 3rd party apps do change sometimes, and something that didn't interfere previously, may be affecting the in-game experience now. That's why we put the disclaimer that you use the apps at your own risk.

False reports don't count against you, so if you're not being a jerk in game, that won't affect you.

Have you reached out to support in regards to the ban?

Hi, they said my ban was because of "scripting" they exactly used that word.

Please let me know if you get anywhere with this. I was banned today for the exact same reason. But I have never used any mods and definitely am not good enough to be considered a "scripter."

Thank you for visiting and posting on the forums. Even though none of this stuff is your area I am sure I speak for all of us when I say it is nice to see someone who actually cares.

Now if only someone from Riot who actually works in this area would stop by that would be great! I assume they are probably far too busy responding to all the "you banned me by mistake" tickets that were just submitted.

Of course!

I've actually shadowed support, so I know their workflow, and I can say they are working to get tickets resolved ASAP.

In some cases, I'm able to poke them to get a 'what to do next' to reply, but a lot of time, the issues is focused on a player's account, and they're the only ones with access to it. :c

Plays.tv is heavily pushed by AMD, not that his Mac has a Radeon card. All it is, is a quick record function. Used for capturing "LE LCS BIG PLAYS" or re-watching why you died outside of client, doesn't manipulate the game in any way. AFAIK streamers either use the same program or something that does the exact same thing. So if this program is for some reason what flagged OP for 3rd party software, you should probably reach out to AMD and tell them to fuck off because after practically every league game I'll get a Raptr/Plays.tv popup in my AMD control panel telling me to DL it so I can save moments. Also, why would a pirated Windows affect League in any way? Whether he bootcamps/parallel installs a legit copy or not, I don't see how that affects Riot at all.

I know FOR CERTAIN that Bjergsen and other top LCS players have a plays.tv account. It makes no sense OP would banned for plays.tv being "3rd party" when other players are allowed to use it as much as they want.

As I've mentioned, this isn't my area of expertise, and I'm personally not super familiar with plays.tv. D: In the OP's case, there may be another unknown third party app that may be flagging the account. That's why I suggested to poke Support about this 'cause they'd have a bunch more info.

Imma go back to workin' on some skins. :P

I wanted you to be guilty. So I poked around and absolutely nothing I could dig up suggested in anyway you were scripting or have you ever used scripting. Your win percentage and rankings appear to be consistent with other challenger league players in your server. The recorded clips you have don't show any form of scripting to my eye. I'm not really sure what Riot's system picked up, but this does not appear to be reviewed by any form of real life person.

Here is the reply I received for my support ticket. I'm guessing yours would be similar. Basically, they are accusing me of using hacks/scripts when in actuality I have never use any of that. If I did, my win rate would not be stuck fluctuating at around 50-55% and in Diamond 5. I am willing to show game logs/anything to prove my innocence if RIOT is willing to give me a chance and not just give me an automated reply like this:

Replay.gg is completely online, and all you have to do is register. It works like a charm, and because it's not even a program, it doesn't use RAM or set off anti-scripting guards.

in a couple of your games on both accounts on ranked, you have summoner 4 assigned to D and then sometimes on F.

no not really. it's not like you constantly change your flash from D and F. it's only a game or 2 in succession that have the flash change.

I switch my flash up depending on what the other spell is. If I'm taking TP then my flash is on D. If i'm taking heal or ignite then my flash goes on F. Sometimes I take ghost and don't even take flash. Sometimes I don't even take a mobility spell and go with just barrier and TP instead. Turns out, people switch their spells around.

Unless you've always been that way. In anything I do I switch it up depending on situation. I play guitar. Have played it my entire life. My hands are especially trained to find the spot they need to be at from wherever they are currently at in the amount of time that I have to reach it. Therefore, I don't have to rely on my flash being on one exclusive button or my whole game is gonna be screwed. I can't even imagine how that could be a hangup for someone. Is your R your engage? Well, then your flash should be on D so you can combo them off of each other with minimal effort between the two. Then you can use two seperate fingers for each action instead of moving one finger between two buttons. That half a second difference is me killing you because you are set in your ways. Is your engage on Q W or E? Well, then flash to F. Unless you aren't ever going to use flash in conjunction with your engage. There are other factors as well, such as I've always put TP on F. Ever since game 1. It's just a habit of mine. I don't play any worse because of it. That's like saying "I can't play your guitar becase your strings are a different gauge then mine" which translates to "I'm not very good and plan to use any excuse I can to justify why I'm not even though being not as good is actually perfectly ok".....You're right though, you don't get to high ELO by switching your keys constantly....because it doesn't affect it in any way. It's literally where you feel like the buttons being. Honestly, what you said is kind of ridiculous.

when you're trying to escape, pressing your flash button is a reaction, you are not thinking about it, if you constantly are changing it, how do you remember which one to use? it's just slower and inefficient. again the vast majority of high level players always have the same key for flash in every game, you can just look at their history to find out, when you see the summoner spells switch, it usually means, that they are different users. seriously, just look at all high level players and look at their summoners and which keys they use, their flash is on the same key all the time.

I was also banned for 3rd party apps but all I used was overwolf and hadnt even been using it recently. Today I was gonna try out the replay HUD and was banned in the next lobby...
