2 Year Hiatus Broken

And yet this community is possibly even more toxic than before. I have played LoL since it came out, but 2 and a half years ago I quit due to the sheer amount of toxicity this game has. And here I'm back, played 11-12 games, and have experienced more toxicty in those few games than I have in everything I have played in that 2 year span.

What is it about the league community specifically that creates this environment? And you really can't say its all Multiplayer games, in that two year span I have played Hots, Dota, Overwatch, all at high levels and low levels, and it is never at the same level that LoL brings out.

It's because, for whatever reason, this game drags in it people who absolutely hate losing and refuse to acknowledge their own mistakes. They come in seeing streams thinking "hey, this looks easy, I can totally do that", and then when they don't they're instantly trying to point the finger. It's one of the reason like 90% of my league/discord friends are slowly moving away from this game and towards ones like PUBG, as less-toxic communities can often make lesser quality games look so much better.

Because this game has more players thus, you have more of that toxic element. Time of matches also tends to damp the effects of raging on those games. HoTS is generally too short to cause rage, same with Overwatch where the games can more or less begin and end in about 25 minutes. DoTA 2 has that level of rage too, but less players on top of being shouted at in a foreign language means you won't see it as much.

Toxicity will never stop, ever, you can mitigate it, but it won't ever stop and as long as this game is the biggest game on the planet of course it is going to be the most toxic.
