Hey, I went ahead and removed the image because this type of player doesn't deserve any form of recognition, advertisement, or acknowledgement whatsoever. Please, however, send that image to Player Support in a support ticket and they'll investigate the circumstances and take appropriate action.

If you have any questions about the image removal, please don't hesitate to contact us in the Boards Moderation Discord. We can't, however, take action on the in game issues - you'll need to contact support directly for that.

the fact you fell for it after the first attempt means u deserve whatever comes your way.

Deserve might be too harsh a word here, but he definitely earned it.

You don't seem to realize but take a look at the synonym...

redniwediS1 votes

Synonym:

  1. A word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another in the language, as happy, joyful, elated.

Not all synonyms have identical meanings to one another. In this context earn would mean he got this punishment because of what he did, and deserve means he should get this punishment, not just because of what he did, but because it is the right punishment for him.

Earn and deserve are definitely close enough to be synonyms, but they are not so close as to be perfectly interchangeable. They can both be used in ways that exclude the other's meaning, which is how I used them here. English is annoying like that.

Except earned has a positive connotation and the term "deserve" is up to the person - different opinions exist.

Connotation is always up to the person, that's part of why it's sometimes so hard to keep everyone on the same page over text alone.

Earned is most often used in a positive way, but with regards to punishments it can definitely be negative. In this case they were not used as synonyms.

I don't think so, does 'murder' or 'evil' give you a sense of positivity?

redniwediS1 votes

Let me rephrase it then; earn and deserve don't carry any connotation with them what so ever.

That said, what exactly do you think a murderer thinks of the word murder? I don't get any positivity from it, but that's because of who I am, not because of the word itself.

Is it really worthwhile to debate this subject here? It seems to me like bumping the thread just to argue about semantics is silly and unnecessary. And bumping revives a non-issue.

redniwediS2 votes

If the Boards had an easier way to pick up a conversation elsewhere I'd gladly do so. It's not really a conversation worth it's own thread, and we have no private messaging system. If it's not here it likely would just fall flat, and personally I'm kind of enjoying this one.

It is annoying that we're keeping a thread that should have died open, so I'll give you that one and drop it. I often forget that people use options other than "New" when looking at threads.

No worries! And honestly I was a tiny bit ruder than I should have been about it. Thank you for understanding despite my stiffness!

To be honest I'm not doing this to bump the thread. I couldn't care less actually, I'm just bored. [zombie-nunu-bummed]

redniwediS2 votes

If you got punished for it make a support ticket and attach your image here. Honestly might want to do it anyway as an out of game report.

Litterally just look at the first one he attempted, anything after should have been common sense to not do it.

What does g----*k g----*k means ?

Αρχιδάκι1 votes

Derogatory word for Koreans.

Eedat2 votes

g--k is a slur that Americans made up for North Koreans during the Korean War. It evolved to include Vietnamese people during the following Vietnam War. Generally nowadays its a slur for eastern asians in general more or less but you really dont hear it much

I didn't see the original image so I don't know what's going on here. Were you held hostage and told to type it out or they'll feed and troll your game?
