So i never used to get chat restrictions in this game probably because i was buying so many skins back then (2015). I get a little irritated when I have to deal with trolls game after game after game. Every game its either someone feeding or someone trying to Leoana top lane or Warwick support, but as of now im done supporting this game not going to chat to anyone anymore or buy Riot Points.

This is what got me banned. Not one curse word used and i didnt spam.

This has nothing to do with your spending habits.

This restriction was due to a combination of two things - a prior chat restriction recently, and the fact you were harassing your teammates, especially illaoi, throughout this entire game.

Yeah i bet if i mentioned Donald Trumps name i would get banned to. Pretty sure someone would find it offensive. The tribunal has a worse algorithm then Youtube. Illaoi was harassing me first because i choose bard. I reported her to for harassing me to but im pretty sure nothing happend to her. The reason i told her "why dosent she choose a real mid" was because she was flaming me that bard wasnt a real support. Bard Your reason for ban is a joke.

Anyhow, as for that video, a lot of players come on here thinking they're banned just for their most recent games. Which is hardly ever a case unless they went against the Zero-Tolerance policy. What toxic players don't understand is that the system keeps track of all their games. It builds up over time. As for your attempt at saying Riot never reads bans, not true at all. They'll even review it with them in a support ticket. Talk with them through it and tell them how they earned their bans.

So whoever that kid was in the video, he was an idiot for thinking he was banned for just one game. If he did get officially banned, he earned it over time and made an attempt to justify his entire ban based on just one game.

No, the answer is just to use your common sense and don't try to say anything that may seem negative, offensive, or anything that can be literally be taken out of context. Don't even quote player's toxicity in the chat and DO NOT respond to them. If they're negative, you can go as far as advising your teammate to mute that toxic player and you should too no matter what. And nothing else. You can use the chat anytime you want, I always do, every time I play. But I just know what can be used against me or something that can be taken out of context. But if you feel safer not using the chat, then that is perfectly fine. Definitely isn't against the rules nor can you be punished for it.

You can communicate with people, but you just gotta make sure it's not in a way that you know is just gonna tick people off. I talk with people in my games all the time and have never received so much as a warning. How? Because I don't say or do stuff that I know will get me in trouble. If you must rage then do so at the screen and not in the chat. Otherwise if you can't communicate with people without being rude or disrespectful then just mute all and solely use pings (without spamming them mind you).

How was i flaming when i was the only one refraining from using profanity during that match. If anything i was the most civil person their. People were calling me a Mother******, useless bard support all that good stuff. I can actually speak to people without having to curse. Like i said i never used to receive bans until this new Honor update because i would always refrain from using offensive language. Now pretty much everything falls under that category with this new crappy system. Do you know how long it took me to get out of bronze in season 6? Plenty of people have been banned for using hate speech and racist comments, and late last year there was even a trend of people here complaining about being banned for telling others to kys. That said though the "they started it" excuse doesn't work here as everyone is responsible for their own behavior. All negatively responding to a troll does is give them the satisfaction of successfully ticking someone off, whereas by not responding at all or responding in a neutral or positive manner they usually don't get that satisfaction as we;; as ensuring that they don't drag you down with them.

Basically be smart, not stupid.

You can respond, you just have to make sure that your response isn't negative (i.e. flaming, name-calling or harassment). Some examples of neutral chat would be "ziggs flashless", "nami mia", "careful, jungler has blue buff" or "tribrush warded by bot laner". You can even say "please stop trolling" in response to someone trolling (just say it once or twice though and don't keep on about it) or "no need to start flaming. ashe just got backup at the last second" in response to someone flaming. These are things that are neutral and game-related and more importantly won't get you punished. If that's still too much to ask of you then just don't bother responding.

P.S. Calling for reports as a leaping off point to harass someone is considered a reportable offense.

You mean the trend that got started because people were baiting other playing into saying no-tolerance words? The same issue tantrum said he was going to "find who is responsible for it" despite that very same person taunting tantrum in the post? The same person who openly admitted to setting up a system to bait people into calling the trigger words to get them instantly banned using bots?

So yeah probably not the best example of people saying "they started it"

spending has no influence on your account's behavior and punishments...

your attitude was negative and you were rude to one of your teammates. if you hadn't already got a chat restriction i'd say this would be a 10-day. continue this behavior you're going to get a 14 day ban. despite what people think cursing at people and using hate speech isn't the only way to get a 14-day or a permanent ban.

Using the word report is not bannable.

Here at riot there are way to many reports made by people for humans to go through and look at.... Soooo they have a bot do it for them. Phrases like killyourself and report (player name here) are phrases that the bots look for.

I'm not an expert on the dynamics of the honor system, but I believe that you need to be honored by people in order for your honor level to go up.

DOTA is a nice alternative... Though starcraft is better.

Your best option is to learn what you did wrong and work to reform yourself.

Sharing accounts or more importantly selling accounts has been done for a long time now, with rioting not banning individuals that buy accounts, the only real reason those accounts do get banned is because of scripting/botting.

Although it is against the ToS and riot certainly is opposed to you sharing account info it rarely if ever gets enforced upon.

Not quite. Reform means knowing when not to type, and generally being a sportsmanlike player. I type pretty frequently in the chat, and I've gone without punishment for four years. It doesn't matter if anyone reports me, as long as I don't flame and don't throw out hate speech, their reports mean jack shit.

Pro-Tip: Don't talk to trolls at all. Period. If someone's trolling, they're only doing it to get a rile out of you, and you talking to them, badgering them, flaming them, etc. is just rewarding them for their bad behavior.

Illaoi mid really doesn’t matter. Meta isn’t as relevant in bronze
Yes bard is a support but he’s not easy to play. I wouldn’t trust a bronze player with him much like I wouldn’t trust one on Lee, yasuo etc.
Stop flaming.
Play better champions for your skill level. You will climb elo if you do.
You’re not as good or smart as you think.
