So I was just recently banned for 14 days. never have I had chat restrictions and Frankly... I'm agitated with this 4-step process you have yet it was utilized not one bit.

what do I do..

when I should have received either number 1 or number 2..

someone from RIOT- explain this to me.

10 game chat restriction
25 game chat restriction
14 day account ban
Permanent account ban

Mind you I understand how offensive "%%% or %%%got" may be. But seriously.. There we explanations in my report/review stating as to why I call someone a %%%. someone else stole a health in aram so I said %%%gs. then "cute %%%s"

Seriously riot? okay... I get it. lets go ahead and give me a 10 game chat restriction then.

This is the escalation ladder. It means that if you recently had a 10-game chat restriction, and get another, it would be escalated to a 25-game. If you had a 14-day recently, you cannot get a chat restriction, but would instead be escalated to a permanent ban.

It does not mean that no matter how severe your offense, you step through these penalties one-by-one.

Additionally, we have zero-tolerance towards hate speech, which you used. Be advised that the next penalty of any type on your account, without showing sufficient reform, will result in the permanent ban of your account.

TLDR; This ensures punishments are more severe each time you get one, it is not there to make sure you get a lot of chances.

How does the de-escalation ladder work? It truly does feel like a cumulative jackpot system where you can only gain levels and never drop them. Let's face it, once you get a 2-week ban, a bad day or night with a whole bunch of losses and/or nasty teammates is probably going to get you banned.

Be advised that the next penalty of any type on your account, without showing sufficient reform, will result in the permanent ban of your account.

And then he will create a new account for free and you guys will have to play whack-a-mole to find him just like the rest of us.

Lololol if you want to go ahead and play hundreds of games to level up your account and farm enough ip for runes and champions then go ahead, it's your loss not theirs. Generally speaking the system will ban you automatically, it's not like riot plays whack a mole when it comes to bans. If people don't want to do the time then they should just not do the crime, simple as that. Don't talk shit and mute your team if u can't deal with them :)

I didn't get a chat restriction before my ban. People who tell others to kill themselves still get to play/aren't reported, but like OP, saying "f%%" and then calling someone a "Trump supporter" and to "walk on legos the rest of their lives," is worse than death threats? I'd like the chance to prove reform if I get suspended. I have video evidence of playing league and being a good person, and the escalation ladder of the punishments is there to help someone reform and move down it if they show good behavior. I can prove I can be good, I'll stream every day now if I have to. I just want my friends (on that league account) back.

I can assure you, "Trump supporter" and telling someone to "walk on legos the rest of their lives" are non-punishable offenses. But Riot has a very clear policy with regards to the use of hate speech: Zero-Tolerance. That means you can be banned for saying it even once, let alone multiple times in conjunction with other insults, even ones that are obviously intended to be ridiculous and humorous in nature.

Unfortunately, both you and the OP showed the use of hate speech more than once within your games. If you do that, and are reported for it, you will be punished. While the OP has reasons for why he called his teammates that, the simple truth is it will not matter. There is no acceptable reason to call your teammates or opponents a racial or homophobic slur. None.

I am sorry that you found this out through an immediate ban in your situation, as you do seem like a genuinely decent person. If you do start playing on other accounts, I wish you the best of luck on them.

Thanks for the nice words. It's unfortunate because that account has all my friends and money and time and memories. Also the name. I lost everything and want to show reformation and become great again like Jensen when he came back from his past and is now in a consistently top LCS team, or Uberdanger who has had several chat restrictions and maintains a good standing to this day after getting nicer. I just want to prove it was a mistake on my part and I want to make amends. I still want to work for Riot and give back for all the years of support they gave me, but now that this has happened I feel much more despondent in life in general. I just miss it, I miss friends and I miss the game, and I'm still following all the casters and Riot accounts and LoL accounts on every social media platform and receiving emails from their Indeed Career page and it just generally sucks. I'm incredibly upset over this fault of mine. Honestly, I'm going to regret it the rest of my life, even more so because hateful people saying far worse than what I said those two games, get to keep playing. I'm just sad. I miss it. Idk, this has become a sob story i'm sorry. Gotta blast, thanks again for the nice words. -S

Why didnt you ban him the first time he used those words then?

Ignoring the problem until it escalates enough to be a 14 day ban as a first offense seems even worse.

It seems like they did ban him the first time he used those words, thus the complaining about jumping to 14 day ban instead of getting a chat restriction.

Okay I get what you are saying. In my opinion, there are worse things that could be said than whatever %%% meant, and players who use it don't even get a chat restriction... "Kill yourself", "I hope your mother gets cancer" is, in my opinion, way worse then one single word.

Then again, I'm not from NA, and we have a different opinion on what is and what isn't offensive. Here we don't even use some words you find 14 ban worthy and we can't understand why are they so bad since we don't encounter them in every day life.

Racism/hatespeech or other extreme toxicity can lead to the System skipping punishment Tiers. There are cases of people getting Instant perma bans though they are rare. Feel free to leave your full chatlogs.

3 options:

Stop using chat.

Play a different game.

Don't type anything remotely offensive. ` Your account is very close to being perma banned now. I suggest, if you continue to play, creating a new account. It will take hundreds of games for your current account to return to "good standing".

Btw, from now on, your account is flagged for a year and you are UNDESIRABLE. RIOT will look for any smallest things like "gasp" , "useless", offensive GG to shut you down for good. Basically anyone accusing you for trolling or anything else intangible will make your account to disappear. Don't even come to complain if it will happen, you was warned !
