I just want to know if i deserve this ban.

I spoke with personell at riot about my ban they wouldnt give me any other reasons or chat logs besides this one so here you go. Read as you please and tell me if i deserve permanent ban. Obviously some things typed are based on the game that you would have to watch to judge and somethings are misread since you cant see other chat logs or what happened but here.

It looks to me like you were punished because you repeatedly blamed your team for the situation in the game, as well as threatening to afk multiple times.

When was your most recent chat restriction?

I didnt threat to afk. He said play safe I said I was getting dived and I said i might aswell afk as saying that I cant do anything in this lane. And my most recent was mid August and that one was semi understandable. But Ive been reforming since that game and the only "toxic" things I would say are usually just asking for help and when i get ignored getting annoyed.

Mid-August means it has been approximately a month since that chat restriction. It takes around 3 months of active playing to drop down - thus you escalated with this punishment as you didn't yet drop down to the lower tier.

Further, the following are not acceptable. Whether you call it "threatening to afk" or "being generally negative" or "refusing to help team", don't talk like this:

Talking like that brings down team morale, and makes whatever small chance you had of winning the game even smaller. Nobody is required to listen to your pings, nobody is required to gank your lane, nobody is required to vote to surrender. You cannot berate them for decisions they made - that's not what chat's for. Chat is designed for talking about current/future strategy, not talking about past mistakes/inaction.

See this is the problem. You dont have the logs. I didnt threat to afk or refuse to fight. Warwick said he was going to ult 1v5. It's not negative its honesty. If i tell him il fight whenever he does and i dont join him he will blame me for lying. He also said he would gank which he lied about i also didnt want to FF the other team asked why haven't we. Don't judge my chat if u can't see them all. This is why this system is flawed i can't show his logs. Also only "berated" for lying but whatever.

You gave me the logs in the post. I don't need to see others logs, you are judged based on your own chat.

Further, something can be both honest and negative. Telling someone they're fat, for example. They may be fat but you don't have to tell them.

So ignore teammates is what you are promoting. Because if i lie to them they will just get themselves killed and if i just ignore them it will tilt them. So might as well tell them I won't fight so they don't fight so they don't get mad

Yeah not really worth discussing it with this guy- he's convinced Riot's system couldn't possibly be flawed. "I don't need to see others logs, you are judged based on your own chat." This is fundamentally wrong and a lazy way to achieve "justice".

"Chat is designed for talking about current/future strategy, not talking about past mistakes/inaction" Most of his chat WAS either talking about future, or trying to use past mistakes to make the future decisions better. There is nothing wrong with pointing out that if you continue to ignore a freezing lane as jungler, that you will have a problem on your hand. There is nothing wrong with saying "you should have listened and not gone on him there because mid was missing", because that is meant to get it through to them that they have to stop making those mistakes if the team wants a chance. It doesn't have to hurt your feelings- you should have to be able to recognize advice to an extent whether or not it's given out of frustration. As long as he isn't screaming profanities and slurs, there should be no issue. Riot's attempt at social conditioning is bizarre to me.

I guarantee you these were the main lines to get you a ban. Calling any teammate a certain age with a negative connotation falls under negativity and verbal harassment. Stating team chat is toxic is detracting from the game and placing negative emphasis on the players.

As TwinkiePro said, I am not promoting ignoring teammates.

I am promoting having self control to keep the in game communications focused on the game and neutral or positive in nature.

If you require to ignore or mute teammates to accomplish that, I would rather you do that then get permanently banned.

Honestly, you'd have benefited from muting whoever it was you were arguing with and just reporting them after the game. The way it is, you both contributed to a less than ideal experience for the rest of your team.

That said, while most of the time I think Riot's system is spot on, in your case I don't think your logs merit a punishment. I see a bit of sarcasm, a couple of shows of frustration, but overall it's neutral at worst.

If I were you I'd reach out to support. No guarantees you'll get it lifted, but it's worth a shot.

In most sane people's opinions- NO. In Riot's 'Skynet banomatic" system- sure why not?

I feel you man, and I can promise you this type of passive aggressive, PG "flaming and negativity" will get your account permanently banned. The problem I've noticed, is that most of the community don't realize how sensitive the banhammer is. They think you won't get banned unless you do something extremely egregious. They're quick to spout defenses like "well you should have just muted then", but then they could have done the same thing. If everyone can just mute chat when they hear something that bugs them, why bother banning on account of negative chat at all?

This would've been a 25 game chat restriction since you previously had one, however I can only guess that your chat restriction WAS a 25 game if you got banned.

Riot has a tier system.

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day ban
  • perma ban

Depending on which tier you're at you'll get the next tier punishment when punished. However hate speech and certain other things can get you to skip tiers.
