Permanent Ban disscusion (for those who may be at risk) [Possible solution to permanent ban]

Hello fellow summoners/Riot staff, I am here to discuss my permanent ban that I received today, June 25th, 2017. Before I kick this off I am not bashing on the punishments received, or saying that what was shown for the reason for my punishment was not my fault, or was invalid. I am simply here to discuss a solution to the problem occurred and to apologize for those offended. I was permanently banned for rapid toxicity in mainly team chat, sometimes all chat. This could include calling my team offensive names/slurs, bashing on them for skills, or bragging on different subjects. I also want to add on that I am absolutely not begging for my account back, and I do expect that my account stays banned. I still have hope that someone may see potential in me, but if not I completely understand. I want to first say that I am sorry for those who thought that my actions were so critical that reporting had to be involved. Now to get into this I want to discuss the past of GummieNut. This account was suspended not too long ago, maybe in February or so. I made a topic complaining that there were no warnings, and how riot was way too harsh. You very helpful riot employees helped me see my mistakes and move on as a better league player. Things started off good and were substantively better than the past history with GummieNut. However, after many losses and teams that were hard to control, my temper soon become unstable. I would chat to express my feelings whether good or bad. I would compliment enemies and team players; as well as insult them on their weaknesses or on their lack of skill. However this would rarely happen, and if it did happen it was very slim and short. I stopped playing ranked because I was stuck in bronze and decided that I just wanted to play for fun, and so I did. However yesterday as I decided to play Yasuo, a champion that I'm pretty trash with, my temper flew out of control. My day was not going so well, and so when teammates, or enemies through me for a loop I lost it. These mistakes lead to a full permanent ban. Now I know that permanent bans never get removed, but I still have hope. I think a solution for my issue is to completely ban me from chat. I am putting this out there because the problems seen with GummieNut has to do with chat. So if the chat was permanently suspended for me, I think the solution could be fixed. However, I am mainly here to apologize and to warn other players that their accounts may be at risk. If you have been suspended in the past, think of that as your warning, riot does not put up with toxic players in their community. Saying that it isn't your fault won't help you or your issue. I am too late to fix the mistakes I have made and saying I'm sorry will never be enough. Thank you for your time, and try to be a good sport ~ Gummienut.item 1056

Well, I'm sorry for hurting your eyes Aseeya, and chermorg thank you for the constructive criticism.

I do appreciate each and all of your opinions. I do not think that what I have done is forgiveable, but I like to think that maybe someday someone will.

Here is the more spaced out version so people's eyes don't bleed out lol)

While I understand your post and thank you for taking the time to write it out, I have to bring bad news. By permanently suspending people from chat, they are unable to communicate through chat (which is the design of chat). Further, when chat restricted or banned permanently, people are more likely to take their negativity into game-affecting and harder to track places such as trolling, intentionally feeding, or other griefing.

I appreciate how you're trying to help people avoid permanent suspensions and putting forth a solution so that they don't have to happen, but in all times people suggest this type of thing they never explain why a permanent suspension (after 4+ warnings that each warn of the escalation of punishment) is so bad in terms of Riot policy. In other words, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

People don't deserve the privilege of playing League if they're toxic enough to get banned.

Sadly permanent chat restrictions are not considered worth the time investment to implement.

I've requested it multiple times over the years and eventually settled on disabling my ENTER keys using a registry editor.
