i've been placed in a low priority queue for 20 minutes for the next 5 games because my league updated as i was loading into a match which made me disconnect, if it was legit i wouldn't have a problem but i genuinely couldn't do anything about leaving the game. is there a way i can try and get this revoked?
Chermorg3 votesSo, the issue here is that the League client will not patch if you're in queue/lobby unless you close and reopen it. It may, however, start a repair - which means that there were files corrupted in your League installation.
You would not have been given a 20 minute queue for one leave. You wouldn't even have been given any queue if this is the only game you left. For you to get a 20 minute low priority queue, you must have a history of leaving, AFKing, or quitting games in the middle of them. Even if all your issues are technical, it is still your responsibility to ensure your computer and client are not corrupted and both are functional for the game. Regardless of the reason behind the leave/afk, it still wastes your teammates time, and as such you still will have to serve the punishment.
BriteManBerry1 votesi mean i don't know the technicalities of it, so perhaps you're right, but its the only conclusion i could think of because my internet was fine, after choosing my champion my game went black as it tried to open the loading screen, it said i couldn't connect, i closed league to try and restart it and quickly get back into the match but it started to update the second game i tried to join done the exact same thing without the update, do you know what could have caused it?
Chermorg1 votesMore than likely, your firewall or router settings were interfering with the client, or your connection wasn't as stable as you thought it was.
