I am Bin and I was recently permanently banned even though I never had restricted chat before...I have antisocial personality disorder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisocial_personality_disorder) if you are unaware and it makes me extremely aggressive on this game verbally against people that are ruining my experience and I have no way of controlling it even though I wish I could. I would ask that you give me a chance with the restricted chat option before just flat out permanently banning me...what is the point of having new system if you dont actually use it?

You didnt "explain" anything. just gave me a copy pasted response that has NOTHING to do with what I asked. will report again until I get a real answer.

Could you please switch to some one that is actually competent because you are essentially useless and not reading anything.

With this disorder, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisocial_personality_disorder, I have symptoms such as

Callous unconcern for the feelings of others; Gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations; Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships, though having no difficulty in establishing them; Very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence; Incapacity to experience guilt or to profit from experience, particularly punishment; Markedly prone to blame others or to offer plausible rationalizations for the behavior that has brought the person into conflict with society.

From this you can see why simply giving me bans is not enough to fix me as a player.

That is why I am asking why I was not able to receive the restricted chat feature which would actually greatly aid me in becoming non toxic since it is the one thing that can guarantee I actually change.

why are you so incompetent that you cant even respond to the real question?

Keep in mind, although the Tribunal selects recent matches to be displayed in your case, this does not include all of the matches in which your behavior has been identified as toxic, and it does not excuse toxic behavior that occurred in other matches. On average, a typical League of Legends player is reported in less than 1% of their games played, however, a perma-banned player has been reported at a much higher rate.

Lastly, a permanent ban is an action we reserve only for those that refuse to improve their behavior. In order to be given such a punishment you need to have been judged guilty by the Tribunal at least 4 times.

For these reasons, we will not lift the ban on your account and consider this matter closed. We wish you luck in your future gaming endeavors outside League of Legends.

So why cannot I receive the same treatment and not be discriminated against and get the chat block that you guys say you use but clearly don't? I was banned after chat restrictions were introduced so you can't even use that excuse. This is blatant discrimination against my mental illness and it is appalling that you think this is okay.

Unfortunately we do not offer a second chance for permanently suspended accounts. The initial warning and following suspensions were warnings that you needed to change your behavior. Your failure to do so resulted in a permanent suspension being placed on your account. I am truly very sorry but I will not be releasing your account from its suspension.

Due to my condition I cannot contain myself when people make me upset, and I see it as lazy that you would rather just permanently ban me then actually solve the root of the problem and give me limited chat to aid your customer/consumer.

They refused to help a mentally handicapped customer after medical proof was given, never forget. They refused to even address him head on and dodged his inquiries, and then closed the ticket without response. This is a horrible company.

Riot isn't discriminating, they are just holding you to the same standard as everyone else.

Besides, you didn't give Riot any proof that you actually have this disorder. This would be like me requesting a handicap placard for my car without providing any medical evidence that I am disabled and then saying the DMV discriminates against disabled people because they wouldn't give me a handicap placard.

People will usually respect someone with a disorder when it becomes relevant, but you can't use a disorder as a free get out of jail card when you are playing a public game with universal rules.

Life moves at a rate that is constant for everyone, and has rules that everyone should respect. If you do have a disorder, which I'm sorry but it sounds like a very good excuse for being banned, then you yourself need to take that into account. Everyone accepts the same terms of conditions when they get the game, regardless of your own conditions.

You willingly decided to play the game knowing you might be at risk because of your disorder, and that's your decision. Riot is not discriminating against you by taking the same action they would with any other person. They are simply abiding to their own rules that they are fair to each player on how they act.

You also made a generalization in your title saying that Riot discriminates against people with mental illnesses. If you truly believe that they do this, it would've only been in your case specifically, so saying that is not correct nor is it necessary, especially as a title. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but speaking for others is not something a person is entitled to.

Your condition is not an excuse. It is not a get out of punishment free card. It is something you have to learn to cope with or you suffer the consequences for your behaviors.It's hard, yes, but it can be done, and sometimes you need to cut your losses and bow out of something because you just can't handle it. If you literally cannot play League without being toxic then maybe you shouldn't play League.

What about people with anxiety or panic disorder? They make up a much larger chunk of the population and if they get stressed, it will trigger an unending adrenaline rush that could lead to a panic attack or an ER visit.

If you have an aggression issue then perhaps you can join a martial arts gym to be humbled on a daily basis.

Do you know what we do to anti-social (and other mentally diseased) people that can't control their emotions in real life? We send them into hospitalized care, away from society. That's not discrimination, that's just maintaining public order. There are laws you need to follow, and if you can't follow them, you aren't allowed to exist normally in society. The same is true for this website.

Let's look at wikipedia about your "affliction" here.

"Antisocial personality disorder (also known as dissocial personality disorder, psychopathy, and sociopathy) is characterized by a pervasive pattern of disregard for, or violation of, the rights of others. An impoverished moral sense or conscience is often apparent, as well as a history of crime, legal problems, and/or impulsive and aggressive behavior."

This is you... telling the world... you are a PSYCHOPATH OR A SOCIOPATH. By definition "is characterized by a pervasive pattern of disregard for, or violation of, the rights of others."

Your logic is disgusting. It works in no context at all and not even in your own thoughts. You literally must lie to yourself or ignore extreme ignorance of psychiatry to make these absurd claims. You use a list of descriptions that help characterize the disorder as a list of symptoms. They aren't symptoms. It's not chicken pox and you have evenly dispersed red sores covering most or all of your body.

There's nothing wrong with RIOT defending their customers from a "pervasive pattern of disregard for, or violation of, the rights of others." People with these disorders "know right from wrong" but consciously choose to do one as opposed to the other. This means these people CHOSE to act like an asshole, and Riot PROTECTED people from them. There's nothing about this disorder that removes them from having free will or from choosing right when they believe it's in their best interest and Riot SPECIFICALLY HELPS THEM by making it blatantly apparent what their actions will cause.

But go on... Keep thinking that having a "pattern of disregard for, or violation, of the rights of others" is acceptable reasoning for the rules not applying and those rules being unfair to you. They aren't unfair. They're equal to everyone. A psychopath or sociopath doesn't agree because they think normal rules of right and wrong don't apply to them. Well, here's the brick of reality. They do. Being a psychopath or sociopath is not a reason rules don't apply. It's actually a major reason the rules are there to begin with and throughout history there is the simple truth that psychopaths and sociopaths are not wanted in ANY society if they cannot abide by that society's rules. That isn't discrimination, it's called JUSTICE.

Personally, I would have gone with turrets as a likely reason for being the exception to the rule. However people with these "tics" are generally capable of explaining them. They aren't cartman screaming obscenities. They have an uncontrollable urge to express something they know isn't proper.

I've spent too much on this now and would like to explain in short that you have no argument. Everyone agrees that psychopaths and sociopaths shouldn't be catered to in any way because that's just how all of human society works. Being an unempathetic asswipe just doesn't get you anywhere. This isn't discrimination and frankly you don't know the true meaning of the word. Unfortunately we are not able to manually place restricted chat on an account at this time. Restricted Chat is only applied as a result of a guilty judgment in the Tribunal.

While I can’t restrict chat on your account, I’d be happy to share some tips and advice on how to avoid toxic situations in the future!

First, be sure that [All Chat] is turned off so you won’t see messages from the enemy team. You can do this by going to the Options Menu, and selecting “More Options”.

Unfortunately I cannot proactively avoid the situations now because I was perm banned and I have been trying to be able to play again for like 6 months or more now...it is really depressing.

I have a mental problem called antisocial personality disorder that makes me very aggressive towards people so I wish they gave me restricted chat before just outright perm banning me.

6 months from their support team to give a response besides something saying they can't help him, but in the end he was discriminated all the same. Appalling.
