As a support main I try my best to play that role, however if you are performing extremely badly then I'm sorry but I'm selling the support item, grabbing an item that I can use to carry, and taking over to help the team not lose. While it may seem frustrating, its for the teams best intrests to have a semi-good champion that does damage, than having no damage dealer at all. This does not mean I am any of the following:

Toxic
Trolling
Trying to lose the game.
Feeding
Trying to show you up.

If you are 0/10/0 with 20 cs at 10 minutes and constantly getting bullied out of lane I am going to do something to try and get the team back into the match. -Your honestly trying to help you win, support.

A couple of examples for this would be a few games I was playing support on Treeline, I kept getting people who could not land a skill shot to save their lives, or farm minions either, so I put down the Spell Theif, got Wooglets, and Lux combo'ed the team to victory. Would be interested to hear how other people would handle this but this is my way of handling it after losing games that should not have been lost.

Toxic as a teammate and toxic in-game too. Good to know. No wonder you end up muting and reporting so many people who give you advice or ask what hte hell you're doing. YOU'RE the toxic person in every scenario.

If I'm playing ADC (god forbid if that happens, our team is screwed) and I've gone 0/10/0 with 20 cs at 10 minutes, I'll be GLAD you sold that gold item. Hell, I'll probably buy one myself and leech income from you as my lane mate, LOL. It's going to be better for YOU to take creeps at that point, because lord knows I'm not going to miraculously improve at last hitting in the next 20 minutes. :D

As a support main that almost solely plays a damage support (vel'koz), the supp item is one of the best carrying items in the game. Vision is key to 4v5ing, whether it's a true afk or a useless adc. Don't sell your supp item, you're removing your carry power.
