So today i played a normal game. I was with 4 premade team (probably). They flamed me thro the champion select for teemo pick support. I didnt wanna insta lock, and i let them all pick their roles. However i didnt say a word. Even thro bad start i didnt say a word. (check : oh well... that suicide didnt end well - I MENT MY SELF AS I WENT INTO A BUSH AND GOT MF AND MYSELF KILLED- sarcam?) I even tryed to keep up the game, and tried for all to play and not just give into a grief and surrender. No need to say i had best score, or i didnt flame, or i was only platinum (and they were silver last season). There is no need for such a talk in normal casual games. I came home from work and played normal game. I even enjoyed it, and even honnored my adc MissFortune. Coz he was the one who didnt say a word in teams constant flame and naggine, and surrender voating.

Few hours later, i try to play again, but BAM! Suspension for 14days !

So lets see how a honnor lvl4 (pre/new/season) got ban.

This is wrong. You dont ban people who say things like "kys" - i know , coz their midller said it to me, and yet he didnt got ban. But i do. Wow, just wow. Keep up the good work riot. So far, only flamer population of kids stay and play this game.

Clearly somebody at Riot wants dibs on your name.

Nah, it's because of the "kys".

Say in a support ticket that the suicide was in reference to facechecking a bush, and that the kys was asking what it meant. To be perfectly honest, with how often kys is used it might be unlikely that they believe you if you say you didn't know what it meant, but there is a chance you'll get the punishment revoked. It sounds to me like you're just the victim of the automated system.

it's a shame, sure, but with such a big playerbase they're forced to use an automated system which has trigger words, such as suicide. If you submit a support ticket they'll be able to help! best of luck! [slayer-jinx-catface]

Riot needs new employees.

this is ridiculous they better unban you asap you didnt say anything remotely bad. This automated system is a pos

You said kys twice, so that's what triggered the IFS. If you already submitted a ticket, and htey look into the issue, they will see that you clearly didn't know what kys meant and you didnt say it directed at anyone, so they should be lifting your ban. Just remember, if you're not sure what a word or acronym means, don't repeat it , dont write it in chat. I for example didn't know what "neck yourself" means, and that you can get banned for saying it.

Good luck.

They still didnt answer. So i guess ill lose time to play games... However i do have other games i play more recently... but i did wanna play 2 - 3 games as it is friday. But i guess i wont be doing that now will i riot? XD WoT here i come

RIOT really just needs to remove in game chat. They've proven that they cannot police it with any degree of consistency and should just admit defeat. Either just remove chat altogether or quit all the damn hand holding.

Assuming this is what got you the ban, im sure support will overturn it assuming they see it. In the future though, a nicer tone in the post would generally help.

You said 'kys'. No matter how much you plead ignorance or anything else, you're not getting unbanned. CY@ in 2 weeks.

Mate same thing just happened to me but was a perma ban. My supp and mid laner were flaming me all game and the supp said "kys" and all i said back that i was gonna report. I looked at the chat logs but that game wasn't there it was a game i played yesterday when i said one offensive word and again.. team was toxic only to me because i got caught. Riot isn't looking at chat logs or even going over things, they just ban and be done.

So today Riot Games Player Support decided that the punishment was not applied correctly. Suspension was removed and honorlvl restored! I am glad that it was resolved positively! Thanks for all support guys! :)

The Mantheon2/16/2018, 7:52:51 PM1 votes

Just keep in mind that this specific chat log you show is the one that got you banned, not the only one.

If you've had recived chat restrictions before then you can't really appeal the ban, if this is the first encounter you've had with any kind of punishment it can only mean 1 of 2 things; "Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account." which means this is not the only/first time you've had "negative nehavior" or Its actually an honest mistake, which is rare, but can still happen.

I do hope you're being honest and this is a mistake and in that case by all means appeal the ban and keep us updated! but better to just be reminded that generally you don't get banned for one game.

Best of luck! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Well. It works like that. Put an automated ban system on a few billion players game that triggers on words 'kys' 'kill yourself' 'n***a' and whoever says that instantly gets a ban regardless of the context or their punishment history. Dont know if that one developer was too lazy to make the system work how it should actually work or he/she was actually ordered to make it as it is rn?

Goof Slayer2/18/2018, 12:14:50 PM1 votes

It's for money. The whole system is built for money. They don't care about toxicity. You're living in a joke if you truly believe this. Riot is just that...a joke. They made obtaining champions much harder to do with mere skill. You actually have to CONSUME your time into a lifeless void or PAY UP. Sure, they'll give you a chance to earn some loot. Just don't be too human and get frustrated in-game, because they WILL mute/ban you. Regardless of who was in the wrong, the automated system chooses. I understand the good in "punishing" people for exercising free speech via internet when it comes to potential physical harm (such as this 'kys' topic) but anything else should be brushed off as trash talk. We have mute buttons for a reason, yet they still pamper the wimps of the League. This game is dying slowly. I will surely step on its grave with laughter when the day comes.
