PSA: Bot games do count towards leave buster!

After a long day at work I thought id play a bot game to take more time to practice my last hitting. So I dont get hit with the name and shame im going to write this as the champion they were playing.

Xin: Getting yelled at gotta go xin leaves MF also asking to push mid because she has to go Me: Why start a game if you know you have to go though? MF: Its a bot game chill leave buster doesnt do anything on bot games Me: Ok if thats what you think. (lol)

I know that it takes more than one afk game for the leave buster to hit you, but kind of funny that someone thinks bot games dont affect that. Im pretty sure no matter what game mode, if you queue up you are committing to the full game. I did explain to the MF that bot games are no different than queuing up for any of the other game modes, but still proceeded to stay in the jungle and just afk till it kicked her for being afk.

I think the leave buster should be harsher. People think the leave buster is a joke and wont ever affect them. Now I understand stuff happens that cant be helped, however, dont go into a game with the mentality it wont ever get you either. Maybe we could put our heads together and come up with ways to suggest to Riot to improve the afkers that are rampant right now?

Yeah, a lot of people don't seem to get that all matchmade games (including RGM's and bot games) are monitored.

As far as harsher penalties, they used issue suspensions for chronic leaving. Players would rotate accounts, play on smurfs, etc. and barely even notice the the punishment. Riot switched to the LPQ system to force players to actually use the account if they wanted to clear the penalty.

You are still playing with real people (incoming jokes about level-up bots in ai). You still abandon real people in bots.

I haven't seen a rampant amount of AFKers, the bots are way more pervasive. That said people do need to take to heart that yes leaver buster even if it's just a few moments in the game does trigger. I rightfully got one when I accidentally committed to a game and a minor emergency came up. Thing is - it really is okay if you don't make a habit out of it. Toss the apology out there, take your lumps and take steps to not do it in the future.

...but yeah "just bots" is an excuse, it doesn't get you out of the consequences for your actions.

I think the bots in bot games are more annoying than leavers. The official bots are at least programmed to return to base if a DC is detected. Cheater bots keep the others in play, dragging out the game.

Eh, i generally dont mind if others have to afk or leave in bots if its understandable. I get more annoyed when i have a bot on my team that isnt a real player.

Im generally a lot more laid back in bots, and i do hope leaverbuster is a lot more laxed in bots than real games, because i want the experience to be less stressful for everyone. Its not competitive, and i want it to stay that way. Ive had to afk suddenly for 5-10 min in bots a handful of times, and everyone is generally pretty cool about it.

Though i do wish riot would stop punishing us for playing bots with reduced xp and work on making better bots as well. I want AI to be a legitimate game mode people can play if they dont like PvP. Not everyone wants to tryhard in ranked all day erry day. Some of us just like the less stressful environment of PvE.

I don't blame the Xin. When your girlfriend/mom/wife starts yelling at you, the last thing on your mind would be finishing a bot game that has no impact on your rank.

The MF should have just left and not said anything if that's what she thought.
