banned for 14 days....please read I'll explain. riot staff and mods, etc please read asap.

i was recently reported for 14 days and heres why. although i am toxic 50% of the time, so is everyone else. my real life best friends has played lol for 2 years and a lot in that period. hes the most toxic person i know, and he has only gotten a 2 day bad once. but me? 14 days. the "final straw" for me was when i said a few toxic things to my opponents, but then everyone in the game (7/10) were trash talking and trolling me. i eventually stopped but they kept on insisting i was salty even though my chat at that time showed no evidence for it. right after, they all reported me. of course, i reported them and explained why they should all be banned in the details box. but before i can even finish, i am kicked off. those players deserve the same justice i got, if not more. this is so unfair and i demand this ban to either be shorted or cancelled. the main reason im mad is that the tribunal seems to only be in others favors, but always against me. also im angry because the 7 other players in the game were all trolling and being more toxic (and for a longer amount of time) but i bet you that all of them will never ever get a single punishment. in conclusion I DEMAND that you punish those players severely and make my punishment a lot shorter and just cancel altogether. if it helps, I've bought lots of RP in the past. do you really expect me to just mute everyone as soon as they all trash talk me? i know people should have self control but you know how bad it feels, and i bet you will never experience such an annoying feeling so you cant relate. you should just either let everyone cuss, or disable chat for everyone no matter what. also, i got banned right after the game! as if the tribunal didnt even look at my case! if the tribunal is that fast, they should also the the 5 plus reports ive sent, banned the real bad people, and cancelled my ban also, if saw the chat logs of the games which i was toxic in. one of them was a game where i was saying a couple of toxic things, but THEN my teammate tamh kench threw me in 1v3. he did this 3 times, until the end of the game, resulting in me saying more bad things. this is stupid. if tahm didnt do that, i wouldnt have been more toxic. then the amount of toxicity in that game would not be enough to get me banned. in the game where 7/10 were trolling me, (my final straw) i shouldnt have gotten banned! that only happened because THEY trolled ME! this is unfair

They really aren't. Most people barely speak in chat, and of those that do more, most don't use it to verbally abuse each other.

The punishment system has changed recently. Something around 4 months ago, it moved to a 4-step escalating punishment system. Each punishment is worse than the last, and any offense can eventually add up to move you to the next tier (extreme behavior can skip tiers);

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day account ban
  • Permanent account ban

Your friend's punishment simply happened before this. If you don't take this 14 day ban to heart you have a permaban lined up when you come back. The tier will drop by one every 3 months without punishment.

The offense in question is usually less important than the frequency of you being reported for it. It only takes one line of chat to validate a report, and eventually they will stack up in your case to trigger the next punishment.

You've already said the reports against you were valid. Riot won't overturn a punishment unless the mistake was on their end.

I DEMAND that you punish those players severely

It sucks that you weren't able to get your reports though, but if they were going to get punished, it's unlikely that the lack of your report will change that. Just because they were wrong for whatever they did does not justify what you did. You and you alone are responsible for your actions, and retaliation is not an acceptable excuse to be toxic.

It's hard to sympathise with people who begin their posts with "I know I'm toxic, but..." I usually just stop reading there basically because if your justification for anything comes at the realization that you are part of the problem, there's really nothing to tell the poster that they shouldn't already know.

In games like those just /mute all and pretend you're playing with/against bots.

Most of my games I've started completely ignoring chat. I know there's 9 other people, but it really isn't a social game. If I'm talking to people, it's people I've known for a very long time, usually from other games (ie WoW.)

Using other people being toxic as an excuse to justify your behavior isn't the way to go about it. Yes, everyone at some point in their games has struggled with frustration and most of us have said our fair share of things that we should not have said. But there comes a point in time where you realize it is actually just not worth it. If you aren't doing it out of consideration for the other players on your team, the least you could do is refrain from being toxic for yourself. Because it will only result in trouble for you. The people who had to deal with your behavior will continue playing the game, toxic or not, but you will be the one punished for it.

The system is totally flawed but they dont care. Until Tencents board of directors get together and say hey we lost money from Riot this month. Theyll NEVER change a thing.

I know how you feel. Literally, my last game, which was a ranked btw, started with trolls in the champ select. I had these same two guys in the queue as last queue but someone dodged in my team because one of the guys had instant locked and stole his lane. So these two guys, a duo, were playing BATTLESHIP while in champ select, like literally asking for numbers and letters for their game. The first guy picks Rek'Sai with ignite (one of the trolls). Second pick picks Veigar with ignite. I ask Rek'Sai where he's going. He says "uh idk. maybe bot." And I had Irelia selected but I didn't know where he was going so I switched to Blitz at the last second. I thought we had a top, mid and sup right there. His duo partner after me INSTANT LOCKS on Irelia. So, we had no jungler or adc. Last pick, he takes Shaco jg. So we have no ADC. I'm like wtf guys. The duo people are trolling and laughing at me, saying that "oh Rek is a better sup, you should jg," and all this stuff. I didn't want to dodge as I had just got promoted into Silver 5. So the game goes on.

Game starts. Irelia and Rek both go top. I'm like "wtf people I can't bot by myself." So Veigar gives up his mid to go bot with me and Rek takes it. I go into all chat and ask the enemy team to help report them. Irelia and Rek both start cussing at me saying to "stfu or I will play to lose the game." Even Veigar got mad at me and cussed at me too, in all chat. The enemy team saw what I was going through and promised to report them. It was outrageous the things they were saying. So, since Veigar couldn't stop dying when he went all in, I just was like fuck it and took the kills. They were being trolls anyway

We won by sheer luck of Shaco going like 20-4 or something. Anyway, at some points of time in that game I wanted to rage so bad (I have done in the past), I closed my mouth because I hadn't been doing anything and they were going off at me. Sometimes we just got to know when to shut up and don't provoke. Maybe you did deserve your ban, maybe you didn't.

Take a lesson learned from this (as I have when I was banned before). If your behavior improves, you won't get perma banned.
