Look at this chat log, this chat restriction is RIDICULOUS.

I Recently had a game where i flamed our 1/10 voli, i wasnt racist, i barely swore, and it was NOT one sided, they were just as much as fault as i was, yet i bet they got no such chat restriction. This is RIGHT AFTER LOL told me i was "250% more sportsmanlike/friendly then the average player"
Fast foward to a game, garen is trying to kill his top laner, i see jax coming and BLOW HIM UP W/ signals to not do it. He dies and tells me im garbage and if i dont leave top hes gonna AFK. Hes the chat log:

Game 1 DogChapman: youre an idiot DogChapman: pls do DogChapman: wed be better off DogChapman: quit feeding DogChapman: baddie DogChapman: this garen says its my fault jax ganked DogChapman: i signaled it 4 times DogChapman: hes thirsty DogChapman: why did u go in when i signaled not to? DogChapman: muted, done with this baddie DogChapman: LOL jax was full health with all abilities DogChapman: nice try DogChapman: i defended myself, i didnt start it sona DogChapman: i had 5 min drag, and more farm then top DogChapman: im doing fine DogChapman: hes doing terribl;e DogChapman: all you had to do is not 2v2 when we were half health DogChapman: and tehyt were full DogChapman: reported for toxic, blames his bad play on me DogChapman: wont follow his lane DogChapman: dude who lost his lane and fed wants to surrender, weird DogChapman: you were bad from the start DogChapman: i out farmed you and your tyop lol DogChapman: til you started feeding DogChapman: cause u got thirsty DogChapman: take red DogChapman: this garen lol DogChapman: so bad

this isnt even 5% as bad a some of the stuff ive seen on the chats, and somehow i bet garen didnt get a chat restrction. What gives? why is it i can be such a "friendly player" according to league, and i get reported by someone FLAMING ME BACK yet i am so terrible i have a 25 game chat restriction.

Insulting other players -- which yes, this is -- is punishable. Nothing is gained by you calling him bad and blaming him for things / belittling his play the entire game.

this is ONE side of a chat, what was gained by him starting it and belittling me in the first place? did he get a restrict? i bet you not.

You do not get a special exemption from the rules just because someone else started something.

You should mute them and ignore it, or simply attempt to diffuse the situation without resorting to insulting or belittling language.

It's harder to tell if someone gets restriction since you have to be in a game with that person. Just because you didn't get the notification, doesn't mean he didn't get punished. You simply want to believe he didn't because reasons.

Id like someone to comment DIRECTLY on why i get a restrict, but we ALL see much much worse and they do not.

You got a restriction for insulting and belittling your teammate. Without knowing your past behaviors I cannot comment on the behaviors that may have pushed you to this point.

Other people may or may not get restrictions based on their own standing in the behavioral system. If you reported them and their behavior was problematic, they will either be punished or have their own progression towards a punishment increased, as suits their previous behavior and their current standing in the eyes of the behavioral system.

You can know, as mentioned about, i was "over 200% more honored for staying cool and sportsmanlike" according to the pop up box each time i logged in.

You can be both honored and reported in the same game. The two systems are independent of each other, and your honor is only connected to the behavioral system by a single thing -- the loss of honor if you are punished.

I get that i was toxic, this is LOL the most toxic community on earth, my point is, why do i get a restrict, and these people dont? they say MUCH MUCH worse then "idiot" Its happened before, where i dont defend myself, he tilts my team and they report me. Im supposed to just let this guy tilt everyone on me?

I expect no penalty, like almost everyone else who does it. Id get it if it was across the board, it isnt and you know thats a fact.

An analogy that may help you Speeding Tickets by Age and Gender

"Everyone" sees people who speed more than they do, and they hardly ever see those people get speeding tickets, so it feels "unfair" when they personally get issued a speeding ticket.

Really. The IFS is an automated system. It judges everyone the same, based on the intensity and frequency of their toxicity. The only other theory is that the Rioters in charge of the system specifically programmed it to be biased against you.

No, it specifically programmed to punish the person reported the most in a game regardless of who actually was at fault, i gaurantee if 4 people from a team report its gonna get looked at more then 1 person who reported someone.

I've done this before. Let me post the ACTUAL line of code:

if (reportCount > 0) { ... }

It's line 57 of this particular class. I wrote it.

I'm not a professional programmer, but this looks like the call to review a game is caused by any number of reports greater than 0. So, both 1 and 9 are numbers greater than 0 that would cause the IFS to review the game.

Again, not arguing i didnt do something wrong. Im arguing that we ALL see worse then what i wrote, in 9 out of 10 of the games we play, and the do not get restricts.

The system comes for everyone. It usually takes more than one game to trigger a restrictions (I occasionally have games like this), and I sincerely doubt that this was the first time you flamed a feeder this hard recently. Put on music or something while you play so you don't get tilted. Worst comes to worst take a break.
