I work with Transitional Age Youth(16-25), I feel this is Riots target population. It occurred to me while playing, does riot hire psychologists or mental health workers to assist with player behavior and correction? If not, they realllllly should.

You may also contact support with questions. There's likely no player here which would be able to give a proper answer.

Most companys hire psych majors for marketing purposes. I doubt they have any for in game behavior and correction within the community but you never know who decides the tribunal is what it is. I would imagine a team would for their pro players.

They already do, their head of player behavior and moderation Lyte had degrees in the field, and based many of the systems put in place today off his psychological background. He recently just left riot but was in charge of controlling the toxicity of the community, but was also criticized for how far his actions were at getting statistics from the community. Like giving full on, non-league of legend psychiatric test to some mis behaving players. Do a little searching and you will find the articles with his testimonies about it all as well.

Lyte's PhD wasn't in psychology or a related field (at least not in the way most people view psychology), I believe. I want to say it was like neuroscience or something more focused on how the brain specifically works. What he did was applying his training (e.g., the vigor and statistical emphasis) to his approach at Riot.

EDIT: But I'm just typing this quickly without double checking - so I just googled.

He had a master's in cognitive psychology and a PhD in cognitive neuroscience.

Lyte was a beta, glad he's gone.

The target age group is 6-15. That's why you can get permabanned for saying "report" or calling someone a "poopoo head."
