Everyone with Honor lvl 0 should be banned out of Rankeds

So this is just getting ridicoules, i had 3 people today who proudly announced that they are honor lvl 0 and bragged aorund that the graves skin sucks anyway and everyone is a %%%got hwo got it. They queue in rankeds just to feed, troll and piss the whole team off with everything from stelaing the cs from the adc as support, to flashing at the beginning of the game.

"The Community has improved" Riot said, like hell it did

This would have the effect of creating an even more toxic environment in normals via the Prisoner's Island concept. Riot has stated they will not implement anything that would have the result of clustering negativity or toxicity in one place as it would a) be detrimental to those who wanted to play whatever game mode it was put in, and/or b) would be hard to climb out of given the rampant toxicity in the queue, and/or c) would punish those who make one mistake for basically eternity, etc. etc. etc.

Thats a terrible idea. That would make unranked games even worse. Riot already tried this with the garbage system they used before updating the IFS. This would be even more strict, someone getting a single chat restriction would lock them into normals.

I've met people with Level 5 Honor who are more toxic than the dishonorable people you talk about.

This system is flawed, and just because you think you are Honor 3+ doesn't mean you're better than them, you're just arrogant because of that flashy Honor badge? well bad news, you're just acting like them with this post.

I actually think this would be beneficial. If you aren't at least honor level 1 and reforming (slowly) you can't play ranked.

Edit: By reforming I mean at LEAST have your honor level unlocked.

ridicoules

This would probably not even be a bad idea

I actually like this idea. It’s attacking the spirit of the problem instead of the letter. Sure, they could buy new accounts, but they can’t buy honor, and it can be immediately revoked.

I will tell you what permanent banning does:

It motivates those people to just buy a 30k IP / blue essence loaded account and then smurf to whatever their ELO was anyway. A smurf from diamond 1 can get to diamond 1 again typically in 100-140 games played. So that's like 1 month of play. That's not really that bad.

Around 1/6 of the games I played on this account were against or with guys like the above who are OBVIOUSLY playing on a bought account. Riot doesn't care much about this anyway their president (tryndamere) even got boosted in the past lel.

They are often permabanned on their mains, don't mind bragging about it and have a winrate over 60% and often are just much better than everyone else in the game (even though nobody admits that the opponent was better or that they were playing vs a diamond 3+ smurf).

1/4 or 1/3 of the losses on this account are due to the above players. There is no ranked queue integrity if you just have higher ranked players constantly smurfing since they get banned. You just end up ruining even more games then if you let them play on their mains in diamond 3+ which is super toxic anyway because its competitive.

Let me explain where i see a major problem in this.

The way that riot "detects" people reforming is entirely reliant on the community itself. If you're just an average bloke who doesnt get honored several times a game, you're absolutely, royally, fucked.

Several months ago i was chat penalized for a first-time offense. A grand total of 10 games of limited chat back in august i believe.

Since then, i've done my damnedest to try and avoid being the next tyler1, But i'm far from a shining paragon of the human race. I get frusterated, but i avoid taking anger out on fellow teammates. I've been "Honor Unlocked" since about a week or two after the flamefest i got penalized for.

To put into perspective what it was, i had just started jungling but even then i knew an important part of jungling was ganking lanes and helping teammates in fights. When i faced Lucian and Brand jungles, whom never ganked and flamed me for losing in a hard-countered lane.

So, i got pissed at them for playing poorly and not helping the team, so i flame em. Bad idea, but i was trying to get it through their thick skulls that we are humans, we dont play perfectly and we need help

3 months have passed and a new preseason, still honor 1 "unlocked".

Since being "reformed" is descided by the people you play with, and if they honor you or not, If you're stuck in a low ELO/MMR alongside people who tend to be more inflammatory (i.e mid bronze), you'll never climb OUT of low honor, so any 2nd offense is an instant demote to dishonorable.

2 minor penalties would screw you out of ranked. Minor penalties of which can be chalked up to human nature just being flawed.

So, let me just say that your idea should only work on people who have committed frequent and serious acts of toxicity, not just anyone labled dishonorable. Getting your 2nd and 3rd strikes get easier and easier as riot watches you more closely, trust me i've seen it happen myself.

Thilmer11/15/2017, 1:15:27 PM5 votes

There was a time when Riot did exactly that, and the results were terrible: you couldn't play a Normal game without having 3 flamers in your team.

To give you an idea of the problem, I started to play Ranked to have less flamers in my team. It was that bad.

Brutalmore11/14/2017, 8:56:52 PM3 votes

I disagree. I was level 3 and had a moment of weakness and was a total asshole to my team. I got my 2-week ban and realised my behavoir was just uncalled for and have been trying to get back into a positive mindset and not always get so angry at a video game. Reforming a player can happen, but it takes that player to understand they are the problem and they need to work on themselves and their communications. I have 0 honor at the moment and its a bit embarrassing, but I am working on not passing judgments and trying to get to a better rank.

TheCharmingCharm11/15/2017, 7:51:37 PM2 votes

Please no... I just recently got banned (and by recently i mean months ago...) And i get honors every single game. Yet i'm still at honor lvl 0 It's been months of me getting at LEAST one honor per game, of course theres a few where i get none, and a few where i'm the most honored player on the team. No matter how much honor i get, i just don't ever get past honor lvl 0. It's ridiculous... and don't even get me started on the equally ridiculous reason for me being banned....

Niyumi11/14/2017, 11:19:32 PM2 votes

Hey guess what? I'm honor 0. Wanna know why? Not because I troll and feed, oh no. 'cause I complained in chat about bad teams and broken champs.

And... judging by what op.gg says, I'm better at the game than you, so...
