TFW people leveling after being banned is actually going to kill off all your new players that are possibly interested in the game. Noice. Also the report system is a joke, there's never anything done about this as far as I'm aware.

I know it sucks to run into players like this, however as per the Universal Rules, we do not allow player reporting/shaming here on the boards. For in-game behavior like this, it's best to utilize the in-game report system. I know you feel like the report system does nothing, but if you take a look around this particular sub-board, then you will find many players who are punished because of such behavior.

You can call it player shaming, but how am I shaming someone for making a comment like that verbatim? How's it okay? If I use the honor system and there's nothing done then how am I supposed to deal with it? Quite frankly i"m tired of it.

That kind of behavior is definitely not okay, however we have the "No Name and Shame" rule in place for a reason, and that reason is to protect innocent players. Publicly calling out players in a negative way could very well lead to "witch hunts" or "vigilante justice," which could very well hurt a player's reputation and enjoyment of the game. The worst part is these players could very easily be 100% innocent. Think about it.

Images and videos can easily be edited to make it look like a player is being toxic when they are actually innocent. We as players have no idea if the evidence others post here is true or not; only Riot has access to that information. If Riot allowed "Name and Shame" on the boards, trolls could easily post "evidence" of an innocent player being toxic, which could lead to a witch hunt against said innocent player. Now, I'm not specifically accusing you of trying to do this, just pointing out that there is the potential of this happening. This is why reporting players is not allowed here, and why Riot prefers you to use the in-game report system and let them handle it.

Now here's the thing about the punishment system. There are multiple factors into how a punishment is issued, such as the severity of the player's behavior and how frequently they behave like that. So, even if someone is clearly being toxic in a game, reporting them after the game is not always going to result in an immediate punishment after that game. This doesn't mean that their behavior is acceptable or that your report was worthless, because if they do continue that kind of behavior, they will be punished and your report will help with that.
