Phony supports / lazy mages who think they are better

I think it should be a punishable offense to queue as a support and then go straight AP and ignore your stated role entirely. The dynamic queue is full of Annies and Morganas now who think that it's okay to queue as support when they actually want to mid just to make their queue time a little faster. These useless wastes of roster spots don't buy a sight stone, and take kills and cs from their adc. These people are giving support a terrible name right now. Is there anything that can be done about this infestation, this plague of mediocre players polluting the system and making everyone's playing experience just a little worse every day?

If there weren't so many bad ADC people wouldn't pick carry supports. It will stay this way until plat+ when people can trust their ADC to actually carry them.

i don't care if you go full AP. I don't care if you go full AD. I don't care if you buy almost no support items. I don't care if you take a little bit of my CS. But for the love of god... BUY A SIGHTSTONE!!!

It is their way of playing the game. They are not breaking any rules or Terms of Service.

I'm a support main and I love going annie/morg/sona bot with ap items. I think that's fine so long as an actual support item is bought (ss and gold income) and cs isn't stolen. Utility and tank supports are obviously an option for me but I find that it's just not worth it if I"m playing ranked. More often than not, my adc is not realiable and the only way i can keep us both alive is if I can burst the enemy enough that they're scared of me. My last ashe adc would randomly decide to try and 1v2 the enemy laners in a huge minion wave and the only reason she never died was because I was playing ap karma. The enemy would eventually realize that I was doing a shit ton of free aoe dmg onto them, were losing the trade, and back off. If I was going utility karma, my ashe would've fed because even with a huge shield and speed boost, they didn't have the sense to back off or change their positioning.

but morg and anny can carry hard with ap builds ESPECIALLY in low elo .-. if ur the adc and want wards buy a pink and use ur trinket .-. as a support main i find sightstone to be borderline useless. just have good map awareness and u can get away with having just trinkets. stealing farm i will agree is a dick move but let ur mage supports take ur kills and buy ap if they want.

It isn't a punishable offense to be unskilled at the game. I realize that can be very upsetting for players who feel that others should play a certain specified way. I played a recent game where my support started farming cs and I just didn't say anything because every time I've had a support that takes cs and I ask them not to they ignore me or say something snarky in reply. And I guess I just reached a point where I thought, "It is a waste of my time and energy to type about something that basic in chat." And the reality is that I choose whether or not that player ruins my gaming experience by choosing to have or not have expectations of them that they may or may not fit.

So when my team's support decides not to buy item 2049, I think of it in much the same way. It's not worth my time and effort to try and "fix" them and it's technically not a punishable offense for them to make poor decisions. The more expectations you have of how your teammates should play, the less happy you will actually be when you play.

hey at least no nida support... in the end all she did was steal your farm AND offer no cc and no dmg.

Unfortunately, players are free to play however they want as long as they're not losing the game on purpose. This is considered conflict between players and need to be sorted out between themselves.

To avoid them you simply have to climb up to the point where you won't run into these players that value their own well-being over benefit of the team.

I blame the riot article pushing people into support brand, it opened the doors to other players taking mages.

Being a support main I agree with everything everyone has said on this thread
