Perma ban for salty team

So I love the logic of people in this game. I've read a lot about being banned for vulgar language and seen actually riot people saying it doesnt happen yet I've been banned twice now, the second being a perma ban for being vulgar to a team that has turned on me. The first ban occured a year ago because I retaliated to a team who had turned on me and called me trash toxic ct and every other possible name under the sun. But In riots eyes if youre defending yourself from other toxic people in a match it doesnt matter you should just mute and report and pray to the gods it gets done (which it never has considering I have had the displeasure of having to deal with some of these players again. Yes they have directed their vulgarity at me and yes I have reported, have I been notified of them being banned, no. Riot has a weird way of just leaving you out in the cold and not really caring even when you've tried to change. So today I was permabanned after a match that went just like any other. I main zoe so I get a lot of shit from everyone due to them just not liking zoe. I pumped a vlad in this match and he proceeded to call me trash and a shit ct because my JG decided to come help. I left it at first and was confused as to why he went off at me, he wasnt doing bad and neither was I but he felt the need to start calling me stuff, and yes I did report him and no he didnt get banned because ive seen his match history and he's played another 6 games since. I then replied saying he should shut up and sit down, dont be so toxic because well just dont be toxic just because you're losing. So what does his team do? They all decide to report me because I was beating them, even though their own yas was throwing the match because he wanted mid and got support, our support as well left the game mid way and never returned, ( I also reported him and he as well did not get banned, he has also played a few games since. Granted we FF because our sup raged quit who i doubt will get a ban, but me who foolishly decided to defend himself from toxic people gets the perma ban ? No I don't care what you say about mute report move on, someone calls you shit Im going to tell them to shut up and stop being an asshole. Riots way of just swinging the ban hammer on anything is a form of censorship and is pretty stupid to not read context, thats not being toxic if youre telling someone to stop being stupid. It is unjustified and you can look at all logs of me losing it at my team who give me shit because i stuff up and understand that I am coming from a place of frustration because my team has made the game not fun at all. and like I said I have reported these people but nothing happens... ever. Yes I break but when you're dealing with it constantly every match it gets to breaking point pretty quick. I like to talk to my team and communicate and when someones doing bad I like to make them know that they shouldnt stress esecially because i always play casual and not ranked. Its not something to get worked up over. Vulgarity should be judged on your intent to be harmful and to be an asshole, not because you're calling someone out. Riot doesnt look at the chat logs clearly and if they do its not by a human. The context is everything not the language no matter where its pointed. You have people exploiting this and I see it all the time. This is stupid imo and ive submitted a ticket and all but I highly doubt I'll be getting my account back, all because of some salty af people. Solid one riot.

Also read the summoners code and the amount of times I've seen other players break it and I've reported and they seem to not get banned is hilarious. I havent broken these codes, to go off at someone and to be toxic at them is just not in my nature but if you're an asshole to me Im going to kick back and if thats why I get banned then well fuck it. I also never received an email about the ban, and looking at the chat logs they are always pulled from context and show vulgar words going no where to no one. And I love how it doesnt show responses as well but I guess like you said they dont give a fuck about any of that, you said something bad and that deserves a perma ban. Fair enough

I feel as though there is a serious disconnect between riot and what actually goes on in the games, i read all these articles about respecting people and motivating players and in the past year i don't think I have ever seen that from anyone. I know im arguing the point of lifting my permaban and to be honest Im slowly not caring anymore, riot has let me down too many times now, but it makes no sense as to why it was done in the first place and if I have to go down for it then I think a lot of other people with even worse toxic behaviour should go down as well and I have a list of players that have been horrendous in matches.

just venting my frustration at the inconsistency of riot and their process of banning people.

EDIT: lol its inconsistent in the way that I never see toxic people banned even with a report. I've seen those same players and even reported them twice and I still see them playing. 14 day ban was a year ago and since then I was getting honours almost every match because I didn't want to get banned again so I encouraged people to do good, I have a match with toxic af players who call me every name under the sun and your response is mute, report move on, yeah I dont believe in that because I've never seen it. Maybe NA servers are different, but oce is the most toxic and stupid server. Riots community has always been toxic and it always will be. but what ever. I'm over being called a %%%got or trash by 12 yr old, done dealing with this. Time to move on.

Post your logs or no one is going to believe you or care.

Also no, you don’t get banned for vulgar language that doesn’t happen and never has, what does get you banned is when you point that vulgar language at people.

You can say “Holy fuck I’m bad.” And be fine, but when you start saying “Holy fuck, you are bad.” Is when you get punished.

You are right. They don’t care if you are “defending” yourself. That’s not an excuse. Mute report move on. You’re right a 2nd time actually, you won’t be getting your account back.

  1. Vulgarity in and of itself isn't punishable - using vulgarity to insult and attack other players is.
  2. No, it doesn't matter how many people report you past the first - any report beyond the first is disregarded. 9 reports = 1 report.
  3. If you didn't break any rules, then the entire enemy team reporting you (unlikely in the first place) won't do anything. Clearly, you broke rules.
  4. If you just got off of a 14-day ban, of course your next punishment will be a permaban, it tells you so in the 14-day ban reform card.
  5. You weren't defending yourself, you were retaliating. "Defending yourself" would be using the mute feature.
  6. We could look at your logs - if you post them.
  7. Edited; You say Riot's inconsistent, but the punishment system is actually very consistent. Player gets reported > player gets reviewed > punishment (if applicable) is determined, then applied. All that needs to happen to start it is for the player to be reported. 100% consistent, every time.

Ahhh I've pinpointed your mistake. You think that context is everything. Well, to Riot context is nothing.

It's okay, simple mistake. Just move on knowing that they don't care who started it, whether you're friends, whether you meant it as a joke, whether a response of toxic nature is appropriate or not, etc... The only plausible way to defend yourself here, is to mute.

Knowing this, you should be able to move on keeping your account safe in the future.

Perma ban for salty team

I skipped your whole post to say this : you were banned for your actions, not your teammates' actions

This has happened to me as well. You got banned for saying bad stuff to people who said it to you. Makes no sense but that's how you get banned.

https://boards.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behaviour/b0s53zFq-whats-your-standard-of-banning-an-account-you-really-ban-the-people-ruining-this-game I'd also like to direct you all to this. Explains perfectly what Im on about. Riot doesnt care, if they did we wouldnt have toxic people triggering you. Their answer is run and hide and just let the toxic player be toxic and just let it be. Solid work. Dont say report because it doesnt do shit.
