Delete Ranked Solo Queue.

Ha, no I'm serious-- and I really want you to disagree with me.

I've been bouncing the idea off of a friend and by all means, if you think I'm stupid then call me out on it. I want you to. Because the way I'm seeing things at the moment I find this to be a very awesome idea and here's why:

1.) Community. The very idea of needing five people to compete literally forces you to involve yourself. Gone are the days where you can lone wolf your way to the top-- instead of bragging about carrying every game you're encouraged to play with the same people each game. Because they have your back. 2.) Introduction New players cross that tier into competitive play (not just normals) in a more constructive environment. There's no more building up the guts to venture into ranked, just building up the gall to find a ranked team. Maybe one in need of the position you're most familiar with. 3.) Toxicity. Doesn't this option actually and truly place the decision of 'who's a jerk and who isn't' in the hands of the players? Not only should it smooth the issue of spam reports ( those instances where you find a reason to report someone because they aggravated you ) but it should help shape the community as well. After all if you didn't enjoy one of the players you played with in the last game why would you play with them again? The need for five people forces a player towards one of two decisions; either they must wait and find another teammate or they have to suck it up and play with the same group of people.

Argue with me. Please, if you think this is a bad idea then explain why. My purpose for this entire post is to help the lot of us find a better and more friendly ranked environment.

5v5 is the very point of this entire game. Without it, it's not this game.

Solo/Duo Queue is for your convenience. If you want to choose who you play with, then do Normal premades or create a Ranked Team. If you want the convenience or just prefer not being tied to the same group of people (as clearly the vast majority of people do) then Solo/Duo is for you.

If your problem is toxic players, the solution isn't to punish everyone by erasing the option to play but to dissuade toxicity (which Riot is constantly striving to improve).

He gave his reasoning, to help build the community, teach and accept new players and to remove quite a bit of in-team toxicity. This isn't League of Ranked, no matter how much Riot tries. I can and would bet money that if Riot released reports on the percentages of game types being played, Normals would out weigh Ranked. Would you really stop playing LoL if they removed Solo/Duo, I don't think you would. And I do wonder why you think its nonsense, it's an idea to better this game and the shitty community that plays it. Is the idea of working out because you spend a lot of time playing league nonsense?
