Make (...) and silence a reportable offense. Seriously.

Sometimes when playing in a game if I make a bad play or a mistake and die I'll get a ... In the chat which is really unsupportive of your teammates because they are supposed to work with you to Achieve victory. Worse still is when they are silent after a bad play, not even reassuring that it'll be ok and can be made up for. If teammates are supposed to be on your side then make this a reportable offense. To be silent after a bad play implies a toxic, judging attitude. It is absolutely unacceptable behavior, teammates need to either be reassuring THROUGHOUT the game or not play at all.

Silence is nothing. It literally is nothing. If you feel it is judging then you are the one with a problem, because there's nothing but your own insecurities adding context to the lack of chat. Don't read into it.

Your team could very well be on your side, but your own mind is not. I hope this makes sense.

Typing something like "..." is a little different, but just not saying anything shouldn't be something that bothers you.

Going "..." can be passive-aggressive, but if they only do it once or twice just ignore them. If they are spamming it at every death, mute and report them. If they act like this in a lot of their games they may be punished for it.

If they aren't saying anything, that's not really a bad thing. Would you rather they start arguments and throw around insults instead? There is nothing wrong with it as long as they are still using pings to communicate; nobody is obligated to chat.

I do this after a fail gank from a another laner to bring up the chat and get team to notice my plight, usually to look for an MIA ping, and issue one on my teammates indicating they're missing a player. If I did a majorly bad play, I'll just say "Okay." to acknowledge it faster than anybody can judge me for it.

If that's considered passive-aggressive, I should've been banned a long time ago. If this is done as not being to insult any player, I disagree with the notion that this is passive-aggressive. I think if it like saying, "Excuse me," but just a little louder.

Spamming can be passive-aggressive.

Also, consider the OP please. His name is astonishingly inappropriate. I wouldn't recommend anybody give him even an honest opinion.

If you are doing this at a time where one would expect some form of negative behavior, it just implies to them that you're thinking it and they want you to know it without saying something. We're not talking about using it as a pause or giving a blank stare, but giving you the stink eye.

Even if a particular person can not possibly be persuaded or they are trolling, the discussion may be read by others who will take something from it. It's better to give the benefit of the doubt the first time.

I see your points. I wouldn't like for the community to view "...", or similar, as passive-aggressive since that would mean I'll be the next biggest troll problem.

I have not lived long enough for "..." used in literature to be a stink-eye in an online forum or chat. Simply typing "..." is too ambiguous for such a determination of negative behavior because, true, it depends on the context.

Even then, saying "...", to the effect of almost literally nothing, can't carry a large enough weight to even be considered for punishment.

Giving a moment of pause and acknowledgement so that a person can reflect is a strong psychological tool, that maybe, people shouldn't wield. That's about as far as I can reason this being bad without spamming; a different and reportable offense.

I've reviewed tribunal cases that use similar passive-aggressiveness, but never one including "..." I don't believe that this is passive-aggressive enough, even when in the right context. Not entering chat might be better. Overall, it's the community that decides and not me.
