A new alternative to Punishing toxic players. (Maybe)

One day I was sitting there thinking about my old account. i was 12 years old. Im 23 now. thinking of how I got it perm banned. I did this with toxicness. just verbal harassment. So i may or may not have a solution for those who talk to much crap. Instead banning people for talking crap and verbal harassment just perm mute the person. Sure they can run it down mid afterwards but they will get the reports they deserve and there is what justify s a ban. And u may ask how will this help riot well think of the 100s of 1000s of people who have gotten banned for verbal harassment. They either have tried to appeal, Make a new account, or just plain out quit the game. So this will benefit riot as in more players = more money. And if anyone thinks "Inst this taking there freedom of speech?" No just make them press I agree before playing and boom its legal. And "How will the players communicate if there muted?" Well who wants a toxic player communicating and we have PINGS for a reason. Toxic players know how to use them very well actually. ??????????????. I just want people to be able to play the game. I think banning and perm banning should no-longer be for verbal harassment and crap talking. That is all I have to say thank you for reading.

League has only been online for just over eight years, how have you aged eleven years in that span? =P

If you really were playing in the early days of League, you'll recall that effective perma-muting was a thing at one point. Folks could essentially accumulate restricted chat games indefinitely. In practice, this caused people to stop taking chat-abuse punishments seriously, since their punishments were redundant, and often they would switch to active trolling in order to keep fucking with their teammates. In other words, it was a terrible failure, and the current system is Riot attempting to learn from that mistake.
