If its one of those "do questions gets rp points" then yes. Its pure spam and they dont allow that

a little less expensive things

and its play this game like world of tanks and get points

Depends what the website is about. What is the subject matter?

silas 09101 votes

its one of those where you can do something and you will get stuff in return. its called <removed by moderation> btw.

I'd remove the link from the comment above and ask the mods on the discord server directly in that case. The problem with the do X and get Y links is that a lot of the time it's how people steal accounts via making them type in their info. We get enough of those situations already on the boards.

but you dont get stuff from the site. you get points which you can spend to enter giveaways

Doesn't matter. They need to set a firm line for posting links because many players can't tell the difference between the scamming and legit sites. Again, the best way would be to directly ask a mod or warden/etc on the discord server. You'd get a relatively rapid yes/no reply there too.

I've removed mention of the site name from this post per the Universal Rules for Account, Product, & Service Promotion.

but they cant steal your account because you dont type anything about your account into the website

LostFr0st2 votes

Don't need to explicitly type it in some cases. Sometimes the site leaves a bug on the computer which sends the info the next time you log into League.

This. Clear your browser cache and cookies, also run your antivirus. Actually might as well just set your computer on fire at this point (JK). Then go reset your league and email passwords with a different device.

silas 09101 votes

and how do i do that exactly?

HalcyonDweller1 votes

I was kidding about the fire.

I dunno, run some antivirus. As far as the browser goes it varies from browser to browser. You can try looking under settings, maybe under history. A browser search may be more helpful to reveal the best method to clear data.

Resetting league password should not be done until after antivirus shows clean and browser stuff is cleaned as well.

There might be some statute included within Riot's Terms of Service that you could potentially be violating if you're using their platform to advertise yourself or any endeavors related to you, but I'm not 100% sure about that. If it were me though, I definitely wouldn't want people trying to use my products/services to piggyback off so that they could try to advertise themselves. If you're that concerned, I'd submit a ticket on Riot's support website and try to reach out to Riot's legal team about it.

Just by quick glance at that website. Yea its a spam site. One of those promising tokens to games. Such as fifa coins or rp points. None of which is ligit at all

ScantyXKneesocks1 votes

In retrospect. If it promises some kind of in game currency its always illegal and some sort of scam. When a game offers currency through their game its directlt sold from them. No one else. Other places will pretend to look good and be "We provide Steam games" or "Riot Approved Sales".

If anything to take from this post. Its just this, dont trust those sites. When in doubt close it out

Reset passwords monthly people!

Now, while the one you mentioned doesn't appear to be a phishing site (they're probably still cheating you), we don't allow for advertising and promoting services anyway so we'd remove it.

Universal Rules

Account, Product, & Service Promotion

  • Moderators will look for the following:
  • Advertising for product sales, trading, reward programs, or gifting of any kind
  • Advertising of transactional services offered by individuals or companies

The correct board for discussing Boards moderation is Boards Feedback but I'm going to leave this thread up at this time if you have any other questions about it.
