Can anyone explain to me why Master Yi should be in this game

Well the people in the gameplay part of this forum probably can, but not here in player behavior.
I'd like to imagine that Master Yi is the virtual personification of someone trying to get over their arachnophobia with the head piece, and the mere presence of him as a playable character may one day help others do the same.
Spiders a friends, not tiny demons.
