I just recently got permanently banned in league of legends. However my friend send me a link to how the punishment system works, and as it says on the link i should have gotten chat banned before i got a 2 week ban. also the reason i was banned was because i said the word fa@@ot in all chat as a joke and am currently friends with the person who i had joked to. even they had said it was unfair, and riot support didn't do anything when i had asked if it was possible i get my account unbanned. Just today i had a french exam in high school, and in the midst of studying is when i decided to play league to 'decompress' in a sense. and at that moment i got permabanned. i was originally using league to relieve stress from non-stop studying but after my match it just increased my stress dramatically, because i had essentially lost 240$ on league. the person who i had mentioned earlier from the game gave a suggestion that i relax and drink tea and study, which i did. it was really helpful and yes i do realize saying fa@@ot violates league's terms of service, but i didn't get any chat bans or punishments before my 2 week ban and i didn't even know i was supposed to get them until a couple days ago. the first time i got banned was for being offensive in chat as a direct result of being salty, which i have actively been trying not to do because obviously i don't want to get banned. i did not mean to be rude in all chat. and on top of this i know people who say a lot of offensive stuff in all chat every game. right now 240$ is a lot for me, and also i had recently just gotten around 35$ worth of gifts from my friend. i personally do not feel as if getting permabanned was a fair punishment. i would like to know others opinions on this. once again i meant no harm, it was just a bad word that i said once in chat. i'm going to put a poll on here so i can see if anyone agrees with me, and also think i shouldn't have been banned. well i guess this is bye for now.

Not sure what link you were given, but it should have additionally stated that Riot escalates punishments straight to 14-day bans when dealing with zero-tolerance issues, including hate speech. Since you used a homophobic slur, you were sent straight to a 14-day ban. Perhaps the person you were talking to was your friend and didn't care, but the eight other players reading it may have. Sorry, but that's precisely how the system works.
