Sadly, I tell the guy, "STOP DAMNIT. The sound waves are bothering me", I even did a sad face.
Still, they keep PINGING AND PINGING. Clearly someone isn't getting here how it works to go into the Computer Room.
What am I supposed to do in settings like these? I want to try and work AROUND the Mute, because knowing that he's still loading all those damn clicks into the OS is bothering the HELL out of me.

Well if you dont wanna mute, then you have no solution. Youre refusing the solution because why? Your computer still knows theyre pinging but you dont? Why dont you mute? I didnt get that part.
I mean, at a certain point, some players' pings don't have any utility, and the benefit to muting them outweighs the risk of keeping them on.
When someone is trying to annoy you, letting them know exactly how to annoy you isn't often the best course of action.
theres nothing you can do accept it lol. and if you wanna "work around the mute" then theres even less you can do
