I have a 100% win rate with brand. Before I started playing Brand, he was never banned. (1% ban rate according to op.gg) Suddenly when I played 5 matches with Brand, the people I go against always ban brand. I am just curious if riot intentionally places me with people that ban brand so I don't win too much.

has a 51.85% win rate with a 17.15% pick rate and a 24.12% ban rate which means he is picked or banned in 41% of games and in the games he is played he has + 50% win rate. brand is strong and highly contested and hated pick
No. Brand is popular at the moment, that's why he's getting banned more often. Riot couldn't care less what your champion winrate is (and to be honest taking that kind of thing into account would make queuing take forever).
Brand has been commonly banned since before likkrit wrecked worlds 2016. I see him banned once every 3 games on average. Sometimes 10 games in a row. I have went on two or three 16 game win streaks this season with Maokai and Singed. I didn't get magically placed in matches where people were banning it. I still don't even remember the last time I have even seen Maokai banned.
