14 day ban... fair punishment?

Game 1 Popinski: cait are you new? how are you so far behind in cs? Popinski: im done with bot. this cait is tilt city Popinski: yeah too bad i cant ping the fact that you cant land an ult Popinski: cait doesnt know how to cs Popinski: ult her when she's not moving? Popinski: i wasn't doing anything with cait in that lane. she doesnt cs, doesnt' poke, just kind of walks up to mf to get harassed Popinski: and since she doesnt kill minions i'm way behind in exp Popinski: yes, but if they aren't dying tey arent giving exp Popinski: why are you still pinging my level? do you not know that supports lag behind anyway? Popinski: lok at morgana? So that's the chat log that was deemed worthy of a 14 day suspension. Of course, this doesn't show the other players harassing me and tilting me non stop. I admit that I should have pressed the mute button earlier, but are you kidding me? Explaining why, as a support, I left bot lane to go support elsewhere and then explaining to my team that being passive doesn't do anything in this game is worthy of a 14 day ban?

Mind you, one of my teammates AFK'd and made this match a 4v5. 2 of my other teammates were tag-team harassing me. End of match results showed me doing 16k damage, while everyone else on my team did either 2k, 6, or 4k damage.

Am I correct in assuming that you have had both a 10 game and 25 game chat restriction? If that's the case, then a 14 day ban is simply the next step up.

The IFS (Instant Feedback System) works on 4 tiers. The first is a 10 game chat restriction, then a 25 game. After that is a 14 day ban, and then a permaban. It doesn't matter what the amount of toxicity is, if you continue to be toxic, eventually you will be permabanned. Just as a head's up, when you're on the 14 day ban (which you are now on), all it take is one instance of validated toxicity to get your account permabanned. It takes approximately 3 months of playing with at least neutral behavior to drop back down a tier (the playing part is to make sure people don't just leave for a while and then come back and continue the same behavior. You have to show that you are changing)

The problem is that you typed words in the chat box using the English language which is now considered to be toxic. So according to Riot's witch hunt system, yes, you deserve to be punished.

You don't have to last hit minions to get the XP.

System isn't fair in my opinion. My opinion doesn't count though.

This system is like sending a jay walker to death row because previously they littered. The punishment doesn't fit the severity of the crime. All crimes are not equal.

I sympathize with being a support trying to drag an incompetent ADC around. It's rough.

The better response is to talk shit and vent about them with your friends later, though. Doing this mid-game, not-so-subtly including the Cait in the conversation, is abuse and harassment. Shitty players still have the right to play the game without being insulted constantly.
