I beg you

Okay this is going too far and there is no ending of it. I really think you should make this game 18+ strictly. Way way way way too many kids raging, insutling, talking stuff that they even dont know what it means, ruining games and most of all joy of playing a game. Either that, either start doing your job and review Reports and take some measures against it.

Your argument really doesn't hold any ground. How exactly do you know how old the people you are playing with are? Did they type it? Are you really going to believe it just because they typed it? How would Riot monitor and make sure it was only 18+? Just slap the label on it? It is already rated T for teen based on game things (online interactions not rated by the esrb).

Setting an age limit doesn't do anything, unless you plan on forcing a player when signing up to include a birth certificate or something just as silly.

People will easily lie about their age or get their parents to buy/make it for them. Companies will slap a mature label on their game but that doesn't stop little kids getting online and playing it.

Riot already cracks down on flaming and trolling, both by administering escalating penalties for infractions AND restricting access to honor rewards for punished players. There are consistency issues with the actual implementation of these penalties, but the framework exists. Ultimately, you can't fix stupid people who have no idea how to conduct themselves in public and are ignorant of the cost of failing to change, which describes most banned individuals.

I don't think 18+ fixes this. Plenty of adults are idiots. Plenty of kids are respectful.

Honestly, the best thing Riot could do for the community is to adjust their F2P model, requiring an investment of something like $10-20 whenever a new account is created, to be paid back doubly or triply in RP. This would actually cause accounts to be something that the individuals are interested in protecting, and would force assholes to reconsider their conduct. But it'll never happen, because it would thoroughly fuck up Riot's bottom line.

Idiots being idiots is a reality of any online game, especially a free-to-play game. I don't think an age restriction changes that.

This is far from a trend that is limited (or even necessarily more prominent) in the 17-and-under age range. A quick look at some streamers shows that this sort of behavior can be see across all age ranges and all MMRs, so all this suggestion would do is severely cut the playerbase without actually doing much to curb the issue.

trust me I know plenty of toxic players over the age of 18. Also how do you expect to enforce 18+? when I was 10 I def signed up for sites that required "parental permission" without them knowing... do you want them to have to scan some sort of photo id? a birth certificate? otherwise there is no way to enforce an 18+ environment.

I forget which country it is but they require you to use your SSN(Social Security Number) when signing up on games I believe. I think its Korea.

Wouldn't matter. I watched a whole lot of porn before I turned 18. I don't see how they could stop kids from making accounts. Furthermore, there are tons of ragey lunatic adults.
